Political analyst Susan Booysen says there is no reason to doubt the DA’s polling,

“The quality of the polling looks solid. There is definitely been a rise in support for the DA in urban centres in recent elections, and the party has benefited from ANC voters not coming out on election day,” Booysen said

Can you list the urban centres where the DA has grown its support? I tried looking but the IEC website is unable to break down the 2024 results down to municipal levels.

The spectacular collapse of the ANC empire is glorious to watch.

Also remember when the usual suspects were supporting Lesufi's nonsense? How is that going?
“Our information shows the ANC could get as little as 12% [of the vote] in Johannesburg. The leadership of the province and city are accountable, as they refused the national leadership advice to enter a coalition with the DA,” the source said.
Everyone was jumping for joy at how brave Andrek was for showing the finger to the national leadership and the DA. Seems like Cyril gave him a rope to go hang himself...

These comrades always spend the most amount of energy trying to deny reality instead of fixing the problem. When they are the 20% party in Gauteng and no longer on the tender payroll, they will rue the day they spurned the polls

Also history has shown us how well the anc does when it's in the opposition benches.

Answering the question is hard?

I know no one can beat the DA on polls, either here on MyBb or elsewhere, I was just interested since Susan Booysen mentioned the growth happened in an election.

Susan uses the same polling system that had Hillary Kamala winning by a landslide over in Yanksville

Looks like she is referring to actual elections. The most recent election is the 2024 one, I don't recall any such growth from the DA, but maybe there are specific urban centers that I don't have in mind, broadly speaking, she could be referring to some towns in Northern Cape while I am thinking of Gauteng.

No polling methodology or even fancy ChatGPT 5.x version can predict what the stupid Yanks will do that, and I suppose the same applies to our voting cannon fodder, they aren't the smartest in general.

Didn't stop the expits and their polls then. It won't stop them now.

Probably referring to by-elections in urban areas since 2024...

Thanks, very useful, and the first result I search for, Joburg, actually shows the DA dropped from 26% in 2021 to just under 25% in 2024.
Just under 25... is 24.99%... Negligible.

26 to 25. Hardly an electoral wipeout. In the most contested election ever in SA.
