So couchstuffer is giving drugsmuggler 6 months.

The only thing that could have made this funnier, was if he appointed draadtrekker or pigkiller as interim police ministers.

ANC didn't want to suspend him and DA did. Both sides didn't get what they want but they met halfway and got at least something.

What a stunning collaboration between GNU.

The President’s inaction on both previous reports raises questions about how effective he will allow this third commission into the same topic to be. President Cyril Ramaphosa has ignored two previous reports from commissions into corruption, including those of the police and Crime Intelligence, after national security crises. Yet he has again established a judicial commission of inquiry, this time under Constitutional Court Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga.

Concerns are valid looking at track record of every damn investigation/commission. What happened as a result of glorious zondo commission ?

Some commissions outcomes were swiftly implemented. Some were ignored or a lackadaisical approach is taken for political reasons. Zondo is a different kettle of fish. The NPA have the floor there, they're not showing a lot of incompetence and the previous minister apparently hampered their work, but it's mostly on them.

It's obviously not in the ANC's interest to act on Zondo. But maybe take a less myopic view. Again, what would you have the president do? The lame suggestions about the siu, ipid etc are just that. Lame.

From what I saw DA was not consulted
There is f all collaboration with the GNU. There may have been a notifictaion to some of the smaller gNU members . He this is what I am going to do , but that is not collaboration

I really have no idea what outcomes where implemented. There have been hardly any arrests or even prosecutions as a result of any of these commissions.

BS , I would say that 99% of commisions have been swept under the carpet.
All that has happened in a few cases is that people got a slap on the wrist
Zondo outputs have been deliberately hampered. I recall a while back an article that investigators did not have access to the evidence because the contract for the service provider holding the evidence was not maintained/renewed.
