Has anything ever come of any of the numerous charges the DA have been laying against various people? I dont remember a single case going to prosecution.
Yeah his frothing at the mouth against the good general is very odd..he's frothing over a point of order. He doesn't care about any of the allegations it seems.
Yes, some do get arrested but not because of the DA cases, because they were already under investigation anyway.Has anything ever come of any of the numerous charges the DA have been laying against various people? I dont remember a single case going to prosecution.
In our case, violence would be a waste of money sunce we're not strategically positioned.
Yes we know the majority of South Africans are utter idiots, thats why the country is in its current state. People get the leaders they deserve more often than not.
I don't deny the fact that the likelihood of the Suez being blocked by a sunken ship exists, but what's the probability? The Cape Sea Route is one of the most strategically positioned in the world. Should a single ship be sunk in the Suez Canal, the only route from the East to Europe is via the Cape Sea Route. It was the reason the British maintained a naval base at Simon's Town for centuries and the Russians and Chinese are visiting with naval vessels at present.
The British had such a lucrative agreement (The Simon's Town Agreement), which allowed them to use the Simon's Town Naval Base even if South Africa wasn't involved in whatever war the British or NATO were involved in. Not long after they relinquished the agreement, the Falklands war broke out and they had no major naval base in the South Atlantic. Everything had to be shipped thousands of km from the UK to the Falklands, even fuel.
The Germans and Japanese knew the importance of the Cape Sea Route during World War 2. Their raiders and submarines sank several hundred ships off the coast of South Africa, as it is a world choke point for shipping.
I don't deny the fact that the likelihood of the Suez being blocked by a sunken ship exists, but what's the probability?

Sport, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie’s alleged former partner, Fedile “Lerato” Kholoanyane, was briefly a co-director of Siwelele FC.
- The minister’s alleged former partner was briefly co-director of Siwelele FC before resigning in March, leaving McKenzie’s son as sole director of the company that bought SuperSport United.
- Gayton McKenzie claims Lerato Kholoanyane only helped register the company to secure the Siwelele name.
City Press can reveal that Kholoanyane swiftly resigned as a director shortly after Siwelele Football Club was registered as a company four months ago.
This left McKenzie’s first child and eldest son, Calvyn Le’John Stanley, as the sole director of the company.

On Thursday, Stanley was unveiled as the young man from Bloemfontein who bought SuperSport United’s Betway Premiership status.
SuperSport International said that the 29-year-old acquired the status through Siwelele Football Club (Pty) Ltd.

Siwelele FC was incorporated on 7 February, according to the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC).
The company’s profile on the CIPC website shows that Kholoanyane resigned on 26 March.
Siwelele FC shows an address in the affluent suburb of Waterfall in Midrand, north of Johannesburg, as its registered office.
Stanley’s residential address is listed as being in a suburb in Bloemfontein.
Before she resigned as a director, Kholoanyane’s address was the same as the one used by the company in Waterfall.

In February, the same month Siwelele FC was registered, McKenzie said in a radio interview that Celtic would be back in the premiership for the 2025/26 season, which starts next month.
McKenzie said the people who would revive Celtic were close to him, but few would have guessed that he was talking about his family and former partner.

“There are people very close to me who are busy buying Bloemfontein Celtic,” he said.
According to information gathered by City Press from various sources, Kholoanyane had a relationship with McKenzie.
However, McKenzie refused to confirm this during a brief interview with City Press on Thursday at the Springboks Store at Sandton City.
You see, now you’re going deep. You’re now coming with your things. Go and ask Lerato. I don’t speak about my private life, and I am not about to start now. Lerato is her own person, a very rich woman.
Gayton McKenzie
Asked why Kholoanyane had resigned, McKenzie said she was merely helping Stanley register the company that would run Siwelele FC.
“Lerato registered the company, and then she resigned so that my son could take over. She’s a very wealthy woman. She has her own business. She owns hotels and other things,” said McKenzie.
She resigned because she doesn’t want to be involved in football. She was just helping him secure the Siwelele name. I’m not going to talk about Lerato. What can’t you understand?
Gayton McKenzie
Kholoanyane uses the name Fedile Norah Kholoanyane on official legal documents but is widely known as Lerato Kholoanyane in business and political circles.
She previously served as spokesperson for the Patriotic Alliance (PA), the political party McKenzie leads. The 41-year-old appears to be one of McKenzie’s close business and political allies.
She has a photograph of McKenzie as her profile picture on Facebook, with the page featuring green branding and photographs of her in PA regalia.
“My blood is green,” reads part of her “About” section on the page.
City Press was unable to obtain a comment from Kholoanyane.
Kholoanyane is also listed as a director of almost 40 companies, most of which have been deregistered in recent years.
Among the companies where she is listed as a director are Queens Diamond Mine, Invictus Gold, Aluvi Mining and Dovetail Investments 950.
Others include Fezicube Events, Big Sky Trading 461 and Rivonia on Deck, a popular hangout spot in Sandton.
McKenzie used to be a co-director of Big Sky Trading 461 with Kholoanyane, but resigned last August, a month after he was appointed as a minister.
This publication has established that Fezicube Events was at some point a service provider to the Central Karoo District Municipality.
McKenzie served as the municipality’s mayor from 2022 to 2023.

The DA retains all 3 seats, with large increases in both Tshwane wardsIn today's set of by-elections, we have three seats contested, all of which are DA-held. We begin in Metsimahalo municipality in the Free State, the main settlement of which is Sasolburg. As it is more middle-class than platteland Afrikaners who reside in Sasolburg, this should be a very safe DA hold with no prospect of an FF victory. We then move onto Tshwane where once again, ASA refuses to put up candidates. In Ward 44, the DA should easily hold on. Ward 98 is a bit more marginal with not much separating 2nd-4th place, however, the DA should have enough to hold on here, despite the likely lower turnout possibly working against them.

Still looks to me like people are very desperate to make a scandal out of it, so his ex registered a company alongside his son and they bought a football club, they bought a football club, they did not get a tender from government, what exactly is supposed to be a scandal?ANC chief defender Gayton has his very own scandal.
