I think it's more the automotive component manufacturers that will be impacted.

Not entirely sure why these 2 surprise anyone.

BMW SA only makes the X3 apparently, and VW SA only makes vehicles suited to the European/Asian/African market as far as I'm aware

The left hand drive version of that vehicles market share will be covered by the USA plant already.

Other makers might not be so lucky in their product mixes though.

The new administration has been fixing lights that has never been fixed in years, 9 months is nothing.
Tshwane street lights remains a massive issue. In our area, Centurion, the excuses ranged from previous contractors removing the lights at night and then bidding to replace via new tenders to recyclers and thieves stealing the lights and cables to people vandalising the lights for pure pleasure etc.

I know CoT has changed the model back to in-house dedicated teams to remove the outsourced contractor option and that seems to have worked for a while. The overhead cables are an issue as when some idiot eventually rams into one of the light poles, the entire cable section is damaged resulting in the string going down.

Visible and effective policing should have been the first port of call to stop vandals/thieves/contractors etc from destroying infrastructure in the first place.

I wonder why the Orange One all of a sudden referred to us as a great country? Could it be that he is impressed by the quality of the people who went over there?

Metro police are lazy, and that trend sadly continues under the new administration, they would rather congregate in groups in multiple cars in the CBD than get out and do some real work

I am just happy it is one less thing to use to justify their overpriced cars when the Chinese continue to squeeze even more, these guys have been finding very creative excuses.

What people don't know is that while President Shipokosa and his wife were in Japan, the soft life in those hotels wasn't their priority, the DP was busy negotiating favourable trade deals for the Republic.

I've said it over and over again. We don't need the Yanks when we have BRICS

So what was the reeing about all the tariffs then?

No wait. Lemme guess. Loony leftist retards. The sky is always falling for that lot

So in your mind because BMW and VW dont sell to the US then the other R300bn+ of actual sales to the US is meaningless?

Why did ASA not compete? Surely, if they were doing that well in TSH, they should've shown bloody racist DA what for?
Their popularity only exists online and not in real life, as was beautifully demonstrated between the 2021 and 2024 elections. I believe it has likely fallen even further since then. I mean just think how badly the party must be polling that they think it's not worth it to put up candidates in one of their strongest municipalities in 2021.

After the DA deleted the poll, Mashaba because he wasn't born yesterday, suspected it might be a trap, after this dominant showing by the DA in Tshwane, his suspicions are confirmed.
