But at the end of the day we all know the ANC is collapsing... huge fall in the national elections, and collapsing membership. uBaba and Julius are glad they jumped that sinking ship.

When Zuma eventually dies, the MK will die with him and their voters will shuffle back to the ANC.

Sadly, the ANC is far from dead.

I'm sure even the ANC are smart enough to have learned not to keep records of deployment discussions. They're disorganized enough as it is that they're inherently incapable of having records of decisions

Sadly, the ANC is far from dead.

Don't disagree on that, but there is a difference between the ANC dying and the ANC collapsing.

The broad church is faltering in the extreme atm and the competing ideologies within that space are fighting with each other. The ANC as it is currently is changing, and very likely to start splintering in the future as well.

I agree that it wouldn't really make a difference, but we do need to get away from this "beholden" to a party type of vibe somehow, though the how is complicated and potentially impossible.
