Irrespective of party preference, I state that no living SA politician will match her standards.👏

While many politicians choose luxury rides, former Democratic Alliance leader Helen Zille has been praised for her decision to drive a second-hand car, a Toyota Yaris.

The 74-year-old was the previous owner of a Corsa, which she had had for over 25 years.

Personally, I wouldn't do it. Her kids are all grown up and making a living for themselves. Live a little ffs!

Ok, I'd buy the Citroën C3 if I was her age and the large cars seem a little unwieldly. 😎

But you are black and she is not. 147 racist laws protect you and not her.

Nice cars are also enjoyable if you have a life to live, at this point it looks like she is coming up with every excuse in the book not to spend time with her long suffering husband, so a nice car would be a waste because it will gather dust in the garage instead of having nice scenic drives with Mr Maree.

Let us raise a backabuddy for her in the event she becomes COJ mayor. We can't have city of gold mayor seen in some crappy car
