Who were the disciplinaries held against? The beneficiaries or the ones who did the payment?
You do not have security clearance to know about DA's internal disciplinaries. If you publicly proclaim allegiance to Zille, we will consider granting you relevant access.

I do notice your questions comes from a position of being misinformed.

Read here and let's continue when you are caught up with what us happening.

Watch the incredible goalpost move now.

She did the right thing to set record straight. I think in Dr. Moya, we are on to something special here.

I am really disappointed in Brink for the first time though. :-( I didn't realize such low level of cheap politicking is something he would indulge in.

The reason @Major Boredom could not answer where he got the information about disciplinaries is because he made it all up, there were no disciplinaries, the payments were made as part of a salary benchmarking by the city and it wasn't payments made by mistake as some people seem to believe, it was a decision of the council, not an oversight.

His whole shill is "blacks steal" so you don't really have to wait for him. He reminds me of vrot when he was that rabid racist. Vrot of course has mellowed of late and maybe this one will, one day.

Payments which were done BEFORE the benchmarking process was completed which is curious and imo this is wrong

Her statement is just a PR exercise and there are big holes in it's timeline

She left in May 2020

So should not have been a recipient of the benchmarking process

They never won a majority, so how were they in charge?

Also let's gloss over the fact that she was the deputy mayor, to whom all MMC's reported to. A position that was created for her, which was criticised by the ANC as a wasteful position, which is no longer an issue while the ANC occupies it...
That's the thing people persistently gloss over.

From 2016 to 2021, the DA ran minority governments in TSH and JHB. As we all know, especially in the SA context, minority governments are dead in the water and never last, especially if you have to rely on the likes of EFF, etc.

The same DA that was in power at the time had no idea how the payments came about? Something that happened when Cilliers Brink was the MMC of Corporate services?
Probably ANC/ASA cadres doing funny **** behind the backs of leadership
It does say there that there were disciplinaries done.

Funny thing is that the majority thing is never a problem with Joburg and other places where the ANC is in power, I have totally never seen you making excuses for Dada and the fact that the ANC has no majority.

Wait, I just want to make sure we understand what we are saying, the DA, that was in power at the time, with their Mayor Mokgalapa leading the city, and Cilliers Brink responsible for corporate services, (HR is part of that by way), have no idea how the payments came about?

Again ... I can only say again what is in the statement . I dont work for any of the political parties like yourself
Normally leadership is unaware when minions commit fraud/theft. At least that is my experience in the business world

As was said before this was done in a minority government so imo yes there would have been people working there with different agenda's

Unlike @Sideshow Bob I am no Brink fan. But there's something about this defence...
The point here is very simple, if she is somehow guilty of something, the DA are just as complicit, which is what makes it odd that they would want to run with this campaign.

The PMFA compels them as the office bearers to safeguard the city resources, by being aware of the outstanding money and not taking any steps to recover it for years only to appear now means they are delinquents, who opted for the political point scoring instead of putting the city first and protecting its resources.

Remember when Zuma said he knew who was stealing money but he's just sitting and watching them, that's what the DA did here.
