Lulz, nah dude. I moved out of Jhb in 1989. Been stationed in EL since then mostly.

Blimey! Yeah when I was in Sweden the icy roads was tricky sometimes. Thanks to traction technology and spike tyres I made it!

Then strictly speaking it's not his "home" town. I wish I was him. There are nice girls abound up there.

I know a few Norwegian girls, they're definitely up there with the hotness factor.

Don't be so butthurt about the license fee. :) Singaporeans have to pay way more than that for the privilege of buying a car.

Got my one package today from Germany, surprised it was not crushed to death.

Wonder if sapo is working this weekend on the backlog for international parcels...

how is it that the MOST important documents, i.e. electricity, telephone etc, can get to the consumer yet other stuff just cannot get to people? this just puzzles me.

To be frank, I read a lot of posts of people suddenly getting international and local packages delivered. People mentioning that electricity and phone bills are now being delivered.

Well, I have not received a single electricity bill, phone bill, or any other postal item for that matter. Neither has anyone in our street or from work. I have ordered 74 packages since July, which was all sent with USPS. All of them, without exception, still shows a tracking status of leaving the US. They have not yet been scanned in South Africa. In fact, I just did a checkup on all of them right now and they still have the same status since July.

So honestly, I do not see how some are so lucky...

My package changed status on the 6th Nov going from customs to transit and it's being stuck there since. Have no idea where package is, post office can't help either. We suspect it's on its way to WITSPOS.
