SA Post Office Strike

It's an outlet for emotions for sure.

It's also indexed by Google. SAPO will get plenty of negative hits and they do worry to a degree about their brand.

Besides people can swap experiences and see whether they should worry about a late item or it's just the SOP way for SAPO to do this.

So tell me how did the complaining about their tracking system go...

Reminds me of an Apple computer thread.

Q: How do you do z in OS X (a Mac)?
Apple fan answer: You don't need to do z. Or you're better off not doing z because a Mac user does not need to do z, or get a Windows PC.

Instead of actually saying, do y to get z working, or it's impossible. People will throw suggestions at you and even prove to you that Mac is superior because it does not have that functionality, because only idiots need it. :)

Stupid analogy is stupid...

DA-LION-619 are we complaining about people complaining and then getting all uppity or what exactly is your motive here?

The issue has been prevalent for more than a year. It's stupid to buy something, suffer the long wait, complain and go do it all over again.

Just as stupid, if not more so, than complaining about others that rightfully complain about the bad service delivery they experienced of the local post office services which is plagued by BEE candidates by the way. :p

Many online shops only offer postal/EMS shipment so you actually dont have much choice in those instances. And if we stop complaining about services that we rightfully deserve then we might as well just go live in a hole somewhere and isolate ourselves from everything.
Besides you are doing exactly the same thing with this thread.

Lol, so my claim saga continues.

So I have lodged a complain and a refund on my parcel that was stolen from either sorting or Customs (who cares)
So I lodged a complain and filled out a refund form.

No six months later I am told they cant help me because I had to open the parcel there in the post office to see if the contents was in there.
When I told them who in their right mind sits there and open all parcels to see if you did not steal from me.

Then all a sudden the tone changes and I have all a sudden remember at what number counter I was and who helped me otherwie they cant help me. and this comes from the post master.

I swear more incompetence you will not find anywhere else in this world.
But I am now more determined to fight the cause, dont matter if I succeed but I will make their lives difficult for a while if I can help it.

No. It's stupid to just bend over because another thing is failing in SA. Yes one more thing, post office, something so ancient and which probably works in Aghanistan and Iraq and even Syria, does not work in SA. And we should just use couriers and just SHUT UP.

Yes, what a good idea. Just SHUT UP. And let the internet capture only positive experiences of SA by virtue of the marketing SAPO puts on the web. :) Their site has happy smiling people on it, after all.

You're part of that whiny crowd, I understand.

No one HAS to use the post office, if you need something so specialised that there's only one place on the web you can get it from they will gladly make a plan and courier it to you. Using the PO is just retarded, it's failed, end of story, work around it.

No you can't. There are some companies which only ship their way and they don't make exceptions, ever. So you're 100% wrong.

Secondly the post office enjoys letter exchanges with other post offices via the UPU. It's a worldwide service which has been with us in some cases for hundreds of years. It's shameful that there is a problem in SA with SAPO. It's like getting electricity wrong, or roads wrong, or education or basic health wrong---oops I guess we do have a track record of f-ups.

Then contact them and ask if they'll help, if not don't use them... They're **** companies if they won't make a plan

Saying it SHOULD work so we must keep using them is utterly stupid. It's broken, it won't be fixed, you cannot trust them. Anyone who orders something and expects service from SAPO is deluded.

And why bother moaning? Save your breath, they don't give a ****

I've ordered stuff and had it sent from China to the USA (shipper), and then have it couriered here.

The China to USA leg works fine, takes a week or two. But the courier to here works out too expensive to make it worthwhile.

Japanese companies are like that. That's in a way what I like about Japan. They just don't give a frack if you don't use them, they're usually sold out anyway and no some companies are OEMs. They don't ki-ss as-s like Americans. If I want their products, I have to agree to abide by their somewhat convoluted rules.

I received all my Rightstuf stuff sent via Ascendia which is USPS drop shipper. Yes it was delayed. But to send the same by courier, RS would have to charge me about 2-3 times extra for shipping. And then courier is a PITA because you have to send EFT payments and other BS.
