I sent an email to them this morning requesting a local tracking number for a package sent by Deutsche Post which was received in SA on 18/12/2016 according to the DP tracking number. The lady who responded gives me the same info that the DP website gives ie received on 18/12 but apparently it still needs to be scanned into the Post Office's system to get a local tracking number.
So it will lay in limbo until someone decides to scan it.![]()
I have been emailing a couple of people at the Post Office since the 19/12 and they keep telling me the same thing that the package needs to be scanned into the local system before they can provide a local tracking number. It seems the hold up is with Customs locally but there is no way to get in contact with them myself.
