SA should get first dibs on Vodacom - CWU

I think we lost a good company to Vodafone...
Vodafone is buying out every SP all around the world, but making Vodafone a stronger company. They wanted Vodacom for years now, Vodacom is one of their best, high subscriber base and a very low churn for the past 10 years, its only benefiting Vodafone. Vodacom will also benefit from the buyout but only for things like new products and services. Vodacom and SAs money will still be going overseas... thats not so good.
Im sure Vodacom will do better without the help from Vodafone.

Well they will still be paying taxes which means 1/3 of the money net income will stay here and not to forget 14% VAT which stays here too. Then a further 35% of dividends will stay here from the local shares.
