SABNZBD, Sickbeard & Couchpotato Guide.

You can only delete an entire show, to remove references for a single episode you need to set the status to either Skipped or Ignored.

Thanks - if I had a failed download, and want to totally delete all references to the episode, including anything in the backlog, or an nzb (so that it can start totally from scratch) - would marking to Skipped or Ignored accomplish this?

Since I use a few sites I never gave it much thought, usually stops and continues to work after a few hours.

Also getting the same error from Newztown. So far I've taken the approach: "If it aint broke don't fix it" but I suspect it may be hitting the daily limit on hits to the API? or something related to that.

Yes I got the same message and then logged onto thewir website, and saw "Grabs Today: 11/10" - lol

Exactly like this. I use nzbsa as well so it doesn't really affect my downloads but I was just wondering why it's giving an error. I'd like to get it working though as it will reduce the api hits on my nzbsa account.

Could be this. I haven't checked the api or grab statistics yet i'll have a look at that later. Are there any other good indexing sites to use?

And what will I get in return?

If I ever get massively famous, you'll be the guy telling your friends "yup, gave him an nzbsa invite a while back, seemed like a really genuine bloke."

No real progress on fame though, but who knows?

Downloaded 3 movies with Couchpotato, all 3 fakes or with malware - anyone using the service with more success?

Check in couchpotato under settings, searchers. Untick "always search" if its selected. Its under advance settings.

It was always unticked, the movies in question have already been released on DVD

Try tweak the required and ignored words. Under preferred words you can add the names of the release groups so that CP will choose those over other releases, I know for Blurays the most common release groups for the big movies are sparks, blow and amiable. Adding those in plus any other release group that comes up often can help. The size restrictions can also help (a 200mb DVD rip is obviously a fake). Add in other required words such as x264 or other common words found in all releases. If possible determine if all the fakes are coming from one provider and remove that provider from CP.

Thanks, does this mean you are able to reliably use CP? Where do I check what provider was involved in the download?

I have up until today, noticed a lot of fake HD movies coming from binsearch today so I disabled it. When a movie has been snatched you have the option to manually select a release, choose that and you can see the other releases available. another option I thought of is to download yify releases, its better quality than SD but the file sizes aren't that bad. You could then have yify as a required word. If it's still a problem set the movies category in SAB to paused priority so you can then check if the files are fake before downloading. Right now the release group for fakes all seem to consist of 3 random letters.

Could anyone help out. All of a sudden after a few weeks of using sabnzbd and sickbeard succesfully, sabnzbd is giving this error " Exit(1) Unable to open URL: [Errno socket error] [Errno 10061] No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it". I have not got a clue why this is happening all of a sudden I haven't made any changes to my network or program settings.
