Ok seems to me that you are suffering dcma take downs from your provider or possibly news servers do not have enough retention. Who is your provider? I would personally suggest trying one of the trial news server accounts on possibly nextgennews and a local provider. I never have these issues. Paying about R40 pm for server and about R12pm for provider. Think about it...

I figured my previous failures were because of the age of the content, but this episode (Silicon Valley S01E06) aired yesterday...

UPDATE: Manually went to the folder and opened up one of the RAR files. Double clicked on the video and it extracted... Watching now to check if its corrupted. Any ideas as to whats going on ?

Now and then SAB will think a file is corrupt etc when in fact it is not. This is usually due to some naming issues/confusion. When a download fails and you suspect that it shouldn't have you can always go to the download location and run one of the PAR files or try manual extraction.

No Camikaze, you using Tweaknews and XSUSENET in the incorrect fields, they are not search providers, they are News Servers, where you put your news.saix.net details in on your SABNZB downloader, you would put the account details from Tweaknews or XSUsenet that you would've gotten when signing up for a trial account.

First of all a big thanks to everybody who has contributed to the thread, for a newbie to NZB's like me it's been a big help.

I got everything setup and going on the first try thanks to the guide. It's great to have your tv series downloaded automatically saves me a heck of alot of time. I'm only having issues with post-processin. When the download completes it stays in it's original folder and is unable to rename the episode. When i tried manual post-processing it gives me an error saying it is unable to rename the file as the show directory does not exist. I've got a parent folder called "usenet downloads" and then two sub-folders named "complete" and "incomplete". Within complete i've got another sub-folder called "tv" for all TV downloads.
Could someone please help me setup my directory settings for sanzbd and sickbeard so that my files are renamed and placed in the tv folder once it's completed. Thanks in advance guys.

If windows I suggest you shorten all the folder names.

I'll give that a go. So once i've got my queue empty in sanzbd I need to then set paths or directories. You don't need a static IP address if you use a service like NO-IP (free) or DYNDNS (used to be free).

If you are lucky your router will have built in support for NO-IP which will keep track of your current IP address. If not there is a utility you can install that updates your IP address if I'm not mistaken.

Then you just need to forward the ports that SAB and Sickbeard are using to your PC via your router.

So if SAB is running on say port 8081 you can then access it at fury05.no-ip.org:8081 with any browser.
Add a password for security and maybe https for better security.

Very helpful indeed. I read up earlier on about port forwarding on portforward.com, the only info I could find was setting up a static IP in Windows but not on the actual router. I might try NO- IP , seems the easie route. I'll have to read a bit more before attempting remote access then. Thanks! :thumbup:

It does change every few days if you don't have a static IP, but you can run NO-IP on your PC or router and it will make sure your external IP is up to date, you don't need to worry about your external IP address changing. You do need to ensure the local IP address of your PC is static though. You can set this up on your PC or my preference is to tell the router to assign your PC a specific IP address.

Just check that the TV show you're downloading has been added to Sickbeard and it has it's own folder. And that Sickbeard knows where this folder is, if you change the location of a folder you have to tell Sickbeard this or processing will fail.
