I knew that something was quite dodge when episode 21 was 11 megs, but i went through with it and ep 21 is now an exe??

Yup. Takes a few minutes to set up. I did the same thing - followed all of the instructions until I actually understood each step...

Do you have a newztown account now? Because that file is on newztown. I'd suggest reorganising your search providers so that newztown and nzbsa are first, then the sickbeard index, then usenet-crawler. The nature of this method is that you will get fake files on occasion, but I've never had a .exe download...

No not yet I wanted to get this whole process up and running first.
I will follow this method so long. I'm trying to move to a more stable ISP at the moment as well.

BUT, the search providers are very important. In fact pivotal, to getting the right content...

Quality settings can also help immensely, it seems no one bothers to make fake web-dl downloads, only fake tv rips. Setting your quality profile to 720p or 1080p web-dl should avoid all fakes.

720p WEB DL is the way to go if you're storing the files, 1080p WEB DL if you're watching/deleting. You just can't get WEB DL's for everything but you can get it for a lot more stuff than you used to.
 
Anyone upgraded openelec generic to 4.0 and experienced issues after reboot? My whole screen moved to the top left corner so most things are cut off and I cant fix it

I know more about woman than I do putty so I have no idea how to even do the workaround...

Removing the HDMI cable before switching the box on does not work.

Boot with the screen in stand-by then once booted switch the screen on. At least that's the workaround posted in the thread you linked to...
