SADV Installation Feedback/Progress for Estates/Complexes

I ordered fibre for my parents in Germiston (Lambton/Hazeldene/Hazel Park) because SADV started digging there in July/August and the Area go-live just keeps getting pushed out, 4 times this year its changed, after 4 or 5 changes last year. The pretty little box has been outside my parents property for months now. It went from Feb 4th to Mid Feb to beginning March to 15th March currently. And the Backbone Civil % never changes. The wait has been excruciating to get my parents off their horrible ADSL. Vuma were interested in the area but I think they lost out to SADV, but this has been a long long long build.

Those of you hoping to have fibre installed have to wait a little longer now. . . .
We got that message too. Our complex signed an agreement in June 2018. I'd hoped to read this thread and be an exception, but it's seems to be normal to wait so long.

Please can someone help with getting my fibre levels sorted out. I've had the date pushed out from the end of September to the end of March and now the end of April. Surely it doesn't take two months to unblock a conduit (which was originally installed in October and then removed and reinstalled in January). The complex only has 23 units.

Pity that as an individual you don't have much control over which company will provide fibre to your estate. Our initial go live date was August 2018. The can was kicked down the road a few times till we got 20 March 2019 as a "confirmed date". Today it was moved once more to 15 May "because fibre is very sensitive and we have to do a perfect job".

I wish our body corporate went with openserve instead.

Somehow they convinced our body corporate or something to use them instead. It's been 4 years now and not a single unit inside the complex has fiber yet.

Do we have a SADV rep on here that can explain the process to get them out of a complex and go with a different vendor?

(full transcript)

And now we've had the go-live date postponed to the end of May.

You have PM.

Can the SADV rep please let me know what the latest feedback is and the way forward for Cedar Crest and the 2 neighbouring complexes in Pretoria?

We received feedback from the SADV rep that the planning department would do the site survey in the next two weeks.

Let's see if they stick to their timeliness this time round.
