Sahara rolls out gaming PC

why i buy from sahara often

mobo's are good for entry level pc's
ram pricing is outta this world

monitor pricing is top notch
cpu pricing is awesome

they are so cheap

their vga cards also top notch

just their is sucky like you cannot take something back once opened etc

The pricing is good but the quality is a bit suspect.

Don't know much about their service, but from what I've heard, the products vs price is gud. I would'nt buy a gaming rig from them tho ...

Could someone with a Sahara Cape Town pricelist please PM me?

I'd like to compare.

Thanks.

why they sell the same cpu's as everyone else

their ram is just fine for gaming and office use provided you put heatspreaders on them

hdd are maxtor which is now owned by seagate

mobo's are as good as anything asus and gigabyte offer in the lower end

vga cards are the same as everyone else

they sell samsung monitors and dvd writers

how goes a gig of ddr 800 for 159 ex vat sound?

Wouldnt bother buying mboard/case from Sahara - quality is dodge , i've had cases cause shorting and mboards fail repeatedly , thus msi has no place in any system I build.

Theyre ok for cpu/ram/graphics tho havnt had issues there, but their return policy sucks a tad had to take an mboard back 3x and each time they told me its working fine and then eventually that I had damaged it, had to get in touch with head office to get it swopped, horrible support.

you know they dont sell msi right?

they sell foxconn

before foxconn they sold asus, so im not sure where you gettin your pc's from but it aint sahara

hah! caught out, they say it can run any game at any detail level or something like that, well crysis will bring any home computer in existence *currently* to its knees...

lol they also say you can use ddr2 and 3 at the same time, as far as i know it is one or the other not both :p

Used to buy all of our stuff from them but have stopped because they are no longer selling AMD CPU's. We had no problems with quality and the Samsung monitors are top notch. Also, Foxconn actually make quite a lot of the boards for the big guys (Dell, HP, etc).

yup but abe you cannot bring in something you know your going to struggle to sell

sahara stopped because they where not moving the stock

as a store owner if something is not selling dont stock it

its sad but true

must be a super gaming pc if they dont advertise the graphics card
id take it with a pinch of salt

no mention of the specs besides the motherboard and a 'core 2' processor, whats the big deal? :)

I agree...put out a spec list Sahara so we can decide for ourselves if its an "extreme gaming pc"

I dont think many people into "extreme" gaming care about pre-built systems. You will be able to get this system cheaper and make it better by chosing your own components.

Sahara cpt sold msi - I know I had the worst freaking dealer dispute ever. Perhaps you havnt been using them for a long time - since I got an Msi board from them in around 2005 - it failed 3x.

odd in 2004/5 sahara had exclusive rights to asus which is why sahara dropped the asus brand because they started selling to other suppliers

maybe its just cape town branch who bought them but the jhb branch did not have msi

strange maybe they bring in different stuff i dunno
