Samsung 46' Smart TV

I've got the Samsung 6030 46'' 3D LED TV and it looks fantastic. The 7500 will be the same or better, so you can't make a mistake. :)

Last year I compared the 6600 & 7000 TVs side-by-side, and could not see any noticeable difference in display quality between the two. Think the 7000 series supports Micro Dimming, whereas the 6000 series does not.

My TV doesn't have the Samsung Smart TV & built-in wifi, but that's why I've got a PS3. :)

Also not as slim as the 7500, but I paid R6999 (opening day special at Hifi Corp) for mine, so I expected some "trade-offs".

Good day

Considering buying this product,

Has someone got one and is it worth it forking out the money for it?

I have experience with the ES7500, only with HD DSTV. The picture quality was not good at all, no matter what settings I used (both decoder and TV). Certainly not what I was expecting for a R15,000 TV.

You'd be making a mistake going for it considering the Samsung PS51E8000 is a top of the range plasma at an absolute bargain at R13,000. It will blow LCD out the water. http://www.pricecheck.co.za/offers/39905178/Samsung+PS-51E8000+51"+Plasma+TV/

It's the 4th highest rated TV here - http://www.televisioninfo.com/ratings.php. Note the lack of LCDs on that list.

Only go LCD if you have a really bright room and/or watch mostly during the day in said really bright room. Or if you're using it as a PC monitor.
