Hi all
Does anybody here own this phone or have used it before? Am looking for a new phone on contract and unfortunately budget is pretty much limited to R200 PM or thereabouts. I have also looked at the LG viewty but Im not terribly keen on a LG phone.I have also seen the Samsung F700 which looks very nice but seems to have an older version of the touchscreen interface and it's a bit staunch :) The qwerty keyboard is awesome though.

Inputs would be appreciated.

I have also been looking at this phone, go to gsmarena and check out the review. Looks like a awesome phone for me and is def. one of the best choices for your budget IMO.

Its like the omnia without windows mobile and garmin gps.

LOL...ja for us poor people out there :D

I have read a bunch of reviews and video reviews and it seems like a good phone :)

Does anyone know where you can actually go have a look at phones where the phone is actually switched on and you can actually see how the interface works...so it's not those dummy models they always just have you look at...?

Lol didnt mean to say your poor! It looks like a good deal for the money tho, MTN has it for like R185 with R200 airtime if i remember correctly I would also like to know if theres anyone out there that allows you too actually look at the phone before signing a 2 year contract.

I sit with the same problem in the sence that I may upgrade and have the choice between the Sony-Ericson C902, LG KU990 or the Samsung F480. Al of these phone seems to be good on paper and as per www.GSMARENA.com review. From previous experience with the F700 I am not very please with the GSM reception, paticular in shopping centres or build-up areas. As the F480 is still new, will it have the same poor quality Cell reception?

The LG looks like a good alternative, but how is the support compared with a well establish phone like Sony-ericson? I need some advice.

Pieter have a look at the NOkia 5800 XM. It seems like a better alternative compared to the other phones. Just so you have another option :D Also look at some of the threads in this section relating to the phone.
Hope this helps.
