Samsung Galaxy A5

My Wife wants the A5 her contract is up for renewal, cost wise i end up actually saving.
I'm just concerned she currently has my Old S4 (non LTE version) - more concerned with speed and battery life not really the actual screen resolution or processor.
Her reason for wanting it - is its not bigger then the S4 and lighter and thinner :D

Less lag IMO and definitely better battery

Sony is unbeatable when it comes to battery life :D no question about that

The thing with sony's.. they tend to turn everything off or run in some low powered state.

If I do that on my note 3 I get nearly 7 days out of it, using my extended battery that number goes up to 11 days. Note 4 charges damn quick and have not found a reason to turn anything off, gets me through 2 days before I need to charge it

I finally got my new phone too. still miss my Note 2... just in need of a screen there...

Anyway my A5 was delivered today. Amazing device so far. No lags. No Freezing. No heat like the S4 I was using in the interim.

Display seems even better than that of the note 2.

I have no complaints as yet.

You'll get used to the smaller size and appreciate it :) Had a Note 2 and 3

Thing that impresses me the most. Temperature. Coming from the Note 2... it used to warm slightly around the processor. The S4... you can almost slowcook an egg on there.

I have never felt any slight radiation from my A5. Both the Note2 and S4 were hot from the first day I owned them.

So... the chrome trim on the bottom of the phone is wearing off. The phone is only a month old. Where do I stand in terms of warranty?

@CellC Any advice?

Surely it is a manufacturing defect as I have not heard of anyone else having this problem.

They'd probably say it's physical damage. If you're in JHB, go to Cell C by Woodmead and try your luck. It also falls under the 6 months of CPA...

Well Samsung wants to assess the device...

CellC wants me to book it in to the store.

I cannot afford to be without my phone for periods on end. I have since sent a photo of the problem to someone I know at the samsung service agent in EL... let them try and order the parts while I hang on to my phone.
