Samsung Galaxy Note 2

When one compare the sizes (Note 1 and 2) the 2 is a tiny bit narrower ... but when you hold it in your hand it feels much narrower and easier to handle. The beast has turner into a beautiful ... beast. :) It is much closer in design to the S3 than the 1 was to the S2. With all that power and RAM running buttered JB ... it is in a league of its own ... way ahead of the pack. Those that found the Note 1 too big will find the 2 to be "smaller" and easier to handle. This is for sure the device to get/have. Android's Play Store has for all practical purpouses caught up with Apple's App Store. Everything is there these days. I was contwmplati g waiting for WP8 but the Note 2 is just too well spec'd, priced and mature to skip.

Sounds like a fantastic phone!!

Enjoy! :)

It's a case of hanging in there for a few weeks as we are ahead of things. The cases will come when there is a merket for them.

Does anyone know if we are currently getting the LTE version or the HSPA+ only version?

Took this from androidcentral:
In terms of connectivity, the European 3G Galaxy Note 2 we’re reviewing (model number GT-N7100) offers data speeds of up to 21Mbps down and 5Mbps up over HSPA+, as well as 802.11n Wifi over 2.4 or 5GHz. There’s also a European LTE version (GT-N7105) that offers 4G connectivity, though that’s unavailable at the time of writing

We probably note getting the LTE version unless MTN brings up its LTE network in the next 6 months then they might order the LTE version

Makes sense. The other thing is many are reporting the lack of multitasking in Europe which should be sorted out with a firmware update. Since Vodacom has already started selling Note 2's at Vodaworld I wonder if they have the updated firmware or not. Anyone have one yet that can confirm this?

Just saw Samsung is now rolling out an update for the Note 2 - split screen multitasking.

So you can run two apps side by side. Insane.

Number one reason why I want this phone.
Time to drop the price of my iPad3.

Mine too actually. All I'm waiting for now is a grey one. White is a bit too flash for me. Hopefully someone will stock it soon. I'm notoriously impatient when it comes to new tech stuff.

I have the Gray in Stock... if you're interested

Just amazing what this thing can do!

White 32Gb

Is that the one for R7,999 if outright purchase?

I don't want an MTN or Vodacom contract cause my VC ends in Feb and want to move to CellC. If CellC had it now on contract I would jump and pay up the remainder of my VC contract, but that is not to be. Must buy my N2 outright.

Does Vodaworld have the grey one?
