Yeah the Samsung experience this time round has just been completely disappointing, the phone, the gifts etc. Just try claiming the gifts and actually sorting that out, like grinding your hand on a cheese grater. Anyone here thinking that they will be able to claim the UV sanitizer etc, I wish you the best of luck. I'm giving up, trying to get my phone returned now. This is my end of my journey with the Note, I loved the s-pen, sad day.

Got my uv steriliser can't get my buds. Unfortunately I have to agree... The battery life on the ultra and the standby drain has been shockingly bad.

Have you looked in the Samsung Members
app under Vouchers, if you can claim for a Samsung 32 inch TV..?
see screenshots. Screenshot_20200925-142014_Samsung%20Members.jpg Screenshot_20200925-142256_Samsung%20Members.jpg

See screenshot
+- 8 hrs sleep/standby == 3 % battery drain..
(similar to my N10 +..?)
Factory reset ?
Quite acceptable.?

Also your Motion smoothness on phone, must be on Adaptive mode @ 120 Hz.
It does use a lot more battery.
Try Standard mode for a day or 3, at 60 Hz and see if any better ? 20200925_142900.jpg

I've seen some people on twitter complain about this sort of thing ie. steriliser, buds even the voucher. Samsung SA and Samsung Mobile SA are quick to respond. I don't know if that might help.

No , but alternatively to give you an fair idea ,
I've got a XFV ( Vodacom)
dual sim model SM-N986B/DS
12 Gigs Ram and 256 GB Internal Storage

Further my personal comments / mini review ,
Cons.........
Ridiculously priced and having an Exynos 990 chip ..( which in above posts , i previously stated i would not get ! ) However ,certain opportunities presented itself and I opted for the Note 20 Ultra 5 G .

Having had the Notes 2/3/4/5/ 8//9/10+ ( ...Note 7 had it physically in my hands but ,device then recalled .)
I think i am qualified to give a opinion ???????
the Note 20 Ultra 5G , is a very impressive phone and for me ...on par or even better ?????
than the Notes 9/10+ ....!!!!!

Positives .............
Battery life for me is very similar than my other Notes devices .
However , you have to take into account if you are going to use the 120 Hz ,Adaptive motion Smoothness ,
the battery is going to take a hit ( i believe it could be around +- 10 % more ..??)
otherwise battery drain , is similar to my other Notes devices that i experience .

examples battery sleep/standby mode ....8hrs +- 3% battery drain
or eg ......10 hrs 6% battery drain
Not bad at all .
( see screen shots )

Further for me , the Exynos 9 , is fast ,smooth no hic cups .
One of the best devices out there !
I've seen comments online , regarding the Snapdragon /Exynos debate
(from users that have both devices ) that in real live usage ,you cannot notice any differences .?????
Also as i don't play any games
I mostly do Android Theming /beta testing etc
and i have not noticed any overheating issues .

Wireless Dex ,what can i say ....awesome ?
Works really good and Dex apps scaling ( in general ), to a big tv screen, is now mostly very good .
I have used Dex / Tv combination , many times before and it was just a big ,hassle to plug HDMI cable etc ,to use Dex /Tv combination .

For me wireless Dex/Tv switching , is now very easy /fast to switch .
Dex /Tv switching is impressive ,smooth and good alternative now ,to use .
With my free SAMSUNG 32 TV gift /claim pending ,
i can now use the Samsung tv /Dex ( in my bedroom ) instead of my old used Lenovo laptop !!!

Good luck

Using a Wireless keyboard and mouse / DEX ( for those members that is interested and did not know this info )

Apart from using a Bluetooth mouse /keyboard ,when using wireless Dex .
Connect a wireless dongle with a C USB connector ,to your Note 20 ...thats it !!!
I was lucky ,as i still have a C USB connector , from my old Note 9 ,but I'm sure a Samsung stores should still stock them ?
Good luck .

@corwill thanks again for the review. Is your phone a "physical" dual sim - ie not an esim? It can take two physical Sims

Yes, that's correct.
It's a physical dual sim phone, with 2 x IMEI numbers.
(see screenshots)
you can also check Model number of device
SM- N986B /DS
I'm using a s/d card in Sim slot 2.
Further, to be clear it's not a esim type model /phone. Vodacom XFV
Good luck.

Update /further to my post #73,
( re your post #72)
eg...
Inserted a 2nd "Pay as you go Vodacom sim."
I tested the dual sim functions.
.Working fine. no issues as far as I can tell.
I can choose which sim 1 or sim 2 to use to phone. .
Data is on Sim 1
See screenshots below.
Good luck Screenshot_20200928-035332_Call%20settings.jpg Screenshot_20200928-035408_Phone.jpg Screenshot_20200928-040321_Nova%20Launcher.jpg Screenshot_20200928-035704_Settings.jpg

Thank you very much sir!
@Ahoron

Regarding esim.....
It seems to me that my device SM-N986B /DS,
actually also has esim...?
(Not to clued up about, the esim subject.)

Look at snapshots attached.
I originally was following
a esim thread on XDA, when i
saw another member post
that he has a SM-986B/DS
and already using esim.

Been curious, as i have same device model
SM-N986B /DS,
I then checked my device (Device /Settings /Apps /System apps ) and found references to esim installed on my device.
(See screenshots)

It seems like it has to be CSC enabled etc.?
As stated above, I'm not clued up on this.
Please note, that
I have inserted 2 x nano sims,
in my device slot and dual sim works fine.
(as discussed in earlier post)
It seems like esim is installed, but not enabled ?
by Service Provider./CSC .

Just thought to let you know what i read/found out.
Good luck. SmartSelect_20200929-112729_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20200929-112110_Permission%20controller.jpg 20200929_112812.jpg Screenshot_20200929-112059_Settings.jpg Screenshot_20200929-114907_Settings.jpg Screenshot_20200929-115321_XDA.jpg

Are there any sellers in South Africa that import the Snapdragon versions of Samsung phones?
