A full 1080p Super Amoled display, a new enhanced S4 CPU, with 3GB RAM, with 13 MP camera & a stylus....and it's "nothing special"?

I kinda hope the Note 3 will be made of more premium quality materials like the HTC One Max. I would've gone for the Max, but the Note 3 has 3 GB's of ram, which is like a killer feature to me.

And possibly, I think the Max will be a tad too big, even for my large hands. It is rumoured over 6 inches.

Yes, because there are plenty of phones that have that already. Well, apart from the RAM, which doesn't really make a difference. Android 4.3 runs perfectly with only 1GB. Like I said, it's an improvement, but nothing revolutionary. If it was suddenly made out of metal, or transparent, or could make you breakfast, then it would be "special".

I agree that there are other phones with similar specs, but the Note 3 is going to be the one to rule them all. ;)

The official unveiling of the Note 3 on the 4th of September can't come soon enough!

I want it now. :(

I agree, I'm looking forward to the drastic differences in functionality between the two. Granted, the form factor isn't the same, but seeing Samsung stick it to Apple should be fun.

My feeling is that it won't be too dissimilar to the s4 which is already awesome!

If the Note3 has air touch without the need for a stylus (like the S4, unlike the Note2) then sign me up

The stylus is actually the main reason why I want to get the Note 3.

I love writing on a screen! :)

South Africa will get both variants of the Note 3 :

The Samsung Galaxy Note III with Exynos 5420 chip (SM-N9000)
The Samsung Galaxy Note III with Snapdragon 800 chip (SM-N9005)

Mmmm....think I'll go with the Snapdragon.

I am in exactly the same boat.

Already due for an upgrade, can get in my car now and return with the Note 2 LTE in my hand, but somehow I just know the Note 3 is going to be an exceptional & very special phone.

Like the saying goes - good things come to those who wait. ;)

Lol they also say:

"Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle."

On a serious Note, I probably wouldn't be able to resist the temptation to upgrade to the Note 3.

I also reckon I'll go with the snapdragon if given a choice. I imagine it has more support from apps etc as more phone use that same quad core architecture...

Agreed. Especially because the S800 seems to have similar voice capabilities as the X8 found in the Moto X, as well as USB 3.0 connectivity...
