So it will be in SA by, say April 2014? If we're lucky?

Much sooner....my best guess is October 2013.

Samsung has the largest supply network in the world, they don't muck around.

Yeah we do get Samsung stuff sooner than the rest. Still sucks that we don't get it at the same time as the rest of the world though.

Ok, two days to go....this phone better not disappoint, otherwise I cannot win the Samsung home makeover.

Actually surprised there aren't a lot of leaks yet.

I want a 2560 resolution on my laptop. Jeez tablets are surpassing laptops.

I'm also quite impressed with it from the bit I've seen, definitely adding this one to my collection of Samsung devices. :D

The new box you draw on the screen is pure genius!

It's as if Samsung made the Note 3 exactly how I wanted it to be. I couldn't be happier.

Definitely getting the LTE one in black....not sure about the color of my Gear watch yet. ;)

Worthy upgrades for my beloved S2. :D

given the choice, which version would be better? the 3g or the lte one? i do not much care for super fast internets, because hsdpa/hspa/almost 4g is good enough for me. i'm more interested in the performance of the phone and also power saving.

The octa core is a bit of a fluff, like someone put it in another thread.

Definitely go for the LTE version, the 2.3 Ghz quad core is more than enough to handle things, and might even outperform the octa core.
