I see RC2.1 came out today. Giving it a run atm. Any work around for granting permissions for each app individually in TiB Restore?

Unfortunately not that i know of. Had to do each one by it self.

I knew about this during my One X days but I totally forgot about it. In TiBU theres an option to backup an update zip for recovery mode.

Havn't tried it yet. But when Phronesis V4 is out will give it a try.

Haven't used the update.zip method but the paid version of TiBu allows you to skip the permission requests.

Anybody with a SM-N900 received 5.0 OTA? Seems it should be available but not picking up anything through Kies or OTA?

Who can recommended me a good Note 3 ROM? Something that still has the S Pen functionality. Something non-touchwiz would be great.

Phronesis would be my main choice. Based on Note 5 but it's touch whiz. No such thing as non TW with S-Pen. Trust me I hated TW... Phronesis is the bizness.

hi ,
saw your above post to Fanie ,
recommending Phronesis ROM (Note5 port ).
As i currently have the Note5 ( and very happy with it, no complaints ) and also Note 3 .
i was interested in a port of Note5 to Note 3
(as the Note 3 is stuck in the past, re updates and Samsung forgot /not interested in updating device )
Installed Phronesis Rom on my Note 3.
Yes ,i must admit it gives new live to Note 3...!!
I will first hand compare performance, etc of the 2 x devices .!
Thanks for sharing info !!.
good luck

^ that Phronesis ROM, is it 1 version that will work on all Note 3s, or different ones for eg the N9005?

no sure. I installed it, and runs like a dream.

which model do you have? I have the N9005, just look for the model's xda page, and search for phronesis in there.

Yeah, It's cause I saw you mention phronesis on the note 3 thread that I thought to give it a try. You did not oversell it. It is awesome.

V5.1 imminent

Lots of fixes... + Blurred background for aircommand..

Best thing, I was charging my phone daily, now, I charged it last Sunday morning, and I'm on 52% still.

I just installed Phronesis on my Galaxy Note 3. However, the APN settings say my user is not allowed to change the settings. So I have followed all the various links on the internet (rebooted a million times with WiFi on) and still can't get it to work. So now I'm dirty flashing it again and trying to select another CSC.

I tried XFM since I'm using Afrihost on MTN first. Now I'm trying XFU (which nobody else has explained), and I'll flash again and try XFV (Vodacom, which was my original provider when I bought the phone).

Any advice?

I just checked and I also have that issue. Keep us posted for resolution.
