So far not impressed, phone and camera FC's.

Gonna grab DarkAU V3 as per your post and try that.

Not sure about phone FC. Clean flash? The camera depends on which one you installed. Some of the S6 features don't work. Apparently the Note 4 cam works well.

DarkAu is cool, a lot of the fat is trimmed. The rom is just 800mb.

Yeah, clean install, but no worries, I'm on DarkAu, Looks very cool so far, very very snappy.

Should I install the DarkLord 1.5 kernel anyway?

Dark Au V3 comes with 1.5 already. I see there will be no more development of DarkLord N5 Rom now. Lucky you changed...

Was playing with a friend's S6 Edge. Tested the camera vs our Note 3.

Up to this point I really felt like I don't need to upgrade come March next year. But damn the camera on the S6E made mine look so bad.

The graininess / noise in the pictures even in decent lighting was shocking on the Note 3.

So depressed...

Got a LG G4, the note 3 still slaps it silly in many regards, screen size, hardware soft keys, snappy as hell, perfect scroll acceleration.

Was in 2 minds whether the G4 was worth it, not an easy decision, I still pick up my Note longingly :(

2 things for me was the G4 will get updates for the next 2yrs or so and the camera can do raw. I'm perfectly happy with the Notes camera, if it could do raw there'd be no question of keeping it. Raw on the G4 is mind blowing, edit them in Lightroom and the results are outstanding (relatively speaking) .

As it stands I'd still choose a Note over a G4 any day, but as of now the only note with raw support is the Note 5?

The Note 3 is still one of my favorite phones! I recommend it to anyone that can handle the larger sized screen

I'm not sure about the Raw pictures. But apart from the hardware limitations I basically have a Note5 because of the Rom I'm running that's why I felt like I'm not missing out on much.

Was checking out catalogues... Considering the Note4. But will see what happens come March 2016

Flagship smartphones have started to catch up with the demands of software, similar thing to what happened with computers when i5 cpus, min 4gb ram and 64bit os became run of the mill, latest Win 10 and current software still flys on 5yr old hardware with no upgrades or extra ram.

Raw isn't very important unless you know how to edit them, if you getting a new phone but shooting jpg, bleh Note 3 is plenty good to my eyes.

Don't waste your money, the Note 3 is a better phone than the 4. And both are vastly better than the 5.

Totally agree! I've had a Note 4, wouldn't buy another! I'd get another Note 3 without hesitation...

Why would you say that?

Note 3 is lighter.

I didn't have a problem with having a plastic instead of metal rim - although the metal does feel a little better.

Camera on the 3 is very good and 4 is a little better.

Can't really tell the difference between the two resolutions.

No noticeable difference in speed.

I find the Note 3 back cover better looking than the 4.

And with regards to the 5, the 3/4 have a removable battery and a SD card slot
