Popped in at Telkom Mobile again, the sales person said that they will be bundling the Note 3 + Smart watch, but no word on contracts yet. :(

Man!!! Why do you do this? I was happily intent on getting my Note 3 tomorrow from Vodacom and now you making me hesitate. When and IF TM ever come with that bundle I'll be green with envy and full of regret.............
There goes my weekend...

Popped in just to say that I'm digging the look of the Note 3!!

... because it looks very similar to my Galaxy S2!!! :D :D

Well a Note 1 is very old by now so it should be a huge upgrade.

Rooting causes that stupid exclamation mark to appear at boot, like on the Galaxy S4 or newer versions of the S3. Those are easy to remove when going back to stock though, should you need to. They should have it sorted for the Note 3 as well soon.
The Note1 may be old but with my custom ROM it gives my SU's S3 a good run for her money.

Another consequence of rooting is the KNOX flag being raised so I'm waiting for more info about this and if I should be worried. Never cared much about warranties and stuff before but this be my work phone.

And the screen? Is it the same/better than the S4?
Haven't even seen an S4 in the flesh yet so can't comment but the screen is top notch when comparing with my SU's iPhone5. Better even.

Vodacom deals for the Note 3 is now on their web site.....

I picked up my Note 3 today. Just put in the simcard from my S4. And it's failing to register on the Vodacom network. Anyone else have the same issue?

I wanted to ask, i see vodacom is offering Lte versions of the note 3. Will my regular 3G data sim work in the device

Yes, if it's a micro sim.

You must login to your Vodacom account and click on LTE.

Don't worry, it's free. ;)

Nevermind, trying to put it in 7 times seemed to have solved it... fscker!

You may have a point - I had the same bloody problem on a Note 2 LTE - you need to set the APN manually... I wonder
