so i did an online application on friday, yesterday i had to constantly tweet in order to get the call that was promised... got the call, confirmed everything and was told delivery today... JUST got a call saying that I will only get the phone tomorrow. Now this does not seem like a big deal but this is 5 days after I put my initial order in!

I told the guy it is not my problem and I expect delivery today... he said it wont happen... i offered to pick it up and he said not possible. He then responded saying that he will get the guy who I made the order with to call me, I said that wont make any difference and that if I dont get it today that he can actually rather just cancel the contract. ARGH...

Dont say one thing online and then promise me something similar on the phone and then come delivery day say something else... one day does not seem like a huge thing but to me it is.

Why did they have to call? I just filled in my ID and cellphone number and the delivery details and that was it?
 
WHO KNOWS... I've been an existing client of theirs for 5+ years... they have ALL my details... I never miss payments or anything... argh
 
Everyone has pricing now EXCEPT Telkom Mobile and they 'dont know when' they will have it
 
For me the S view cover is mainly to protect the screen, as I really really do not want to put a screen protector on any phone ever again.

i like having a screen protector... but it gets scratched too easily. was thinking that my htc magic never had a screen protector and after two years it was still 100%, but it was in that little pouch most of the time. maybe that's good idea for the note3?

That's weird, did you get a OTP when you applied online? Because I know if you cant get the OTP for whatever reason then they will call you to confirm your details. Anyway, I can imagine the wait must be irritating, especially since they said itll be delivered today. I hope they're not going to do that to me, otherwise ill make them give me a free S view cover for my troubles... haha I wish :D.

I cant stand screen protectors. It makes the phone feel laggy to me. And dont even get me started with putting it on :confused: haha. My cousin has a S view cover on his S4, I like its design and that you dont have to open it up to answer a call etc but at R700 + thats a very expensive luxury. A pouch would be a good alternative though

you know what? bugger the lte version. i'm gonna take a drive to pavilion now and see if they have a black one. i have faith in the 8 core cpu update which will be released soon*.

I think this option makes sense if you want to use a Cell C prepaid sim. With R200 airtime per month (total R565), you would get 200mins and 200mb (a bit low). Compared to Vodacom = 120 mins (R529), and MTN = 179 mins (R569).

Went to Nashua, No. Went to Vodacom, Yes! Walked out there with my number being ported and my LTE Note 3 in hand! @ R529pm

Super nice phone and so glad to be back on Android :D

I called MTN (The Online Shop) before lunch and they said they have stock but the deals haven't been loaded on the system yet. They expect the deals to be loaded sometime today and I should call back later today or tomorrow morning. I don't mind going this route because they deliver the next day if they have stock. I am due for an upgrade so this is the easiest option for me, hopefully I wrangle a retention credit as well to sweeten the deal, then the S-view case wont be as painful.

The only thing that ever gets old on my phones is the back cover getting scratched and it's easily replaceable. For everything else, there's ADH.

For me the S view cover is mainly to protect the screen, as I really really do not want to put a screen protector on any phone ever again.
If the screen gets kaput beyond an acceptable point then just ADH it.

MTN (I'm not sure about the other service providers), sometimes offers a credit in order to retain you as a client. I think (emphasis on "think") that it is calculated on how much they have fleeced from you in the past, and how much they think they can fleece from you in the future, and the retentions department offers you the credit to keep hold of you. I assume the amount they are authorised to offer is system generated as there is no authorisation from higher up.

I also want to know what to SMS to which number to activate ADH? Can't find it anywhere...
 
To register just go to Samsung.com and click on "register device", choose phone and it's done.
To redeem voucher go to Samsung Hub on phone, choose a movie or whatever and when you get to payment just select voucher.
