Depends IMO, where you based & which network has better coverage.

Was in similar situation some time back, switched network cos of better deal & regretted..

Boxed NOTE 3 is priced R1500 more than a boxed S4 so considering your S4 is used, I would pay in R2000 - R2500. If I upgraded now I would take the Note 3. But yesterday I had to replace my stolen S4 and chose to go S4 again.....

Note 3 is a powerhouse though....
 
Oh, PS: Glomail shops are going to be selling Note 3's for R9000incl - best price I could find.

I hope there isn't something wrong with my device. Sometimes it would have 3 bars and just suddenly loose all connection to the network. Could it be a setting. Because otherwise I cannot be happier.

Got offered R4000 and 2 month old S4 from friend this weekend and no thanks.
Would say fair price between R2500/3000 difference with S4,my friend just got crazy when he saw it:eek:
 
Is anyone else having an issue when connecting to wifi and getting the following error: Network disabled because Internet Connection is slow. Have looked through settings but cant find anything. I am sitting right next to my router but no luck. Sorry if this is something simple but this is my first android device.

Settings - Wi-Fi - Advanced - Check for Internet service.

Maybe?

Edit: I see on the Note it's called Auto network switch.

Which network, and where are you located?

I have the same experience with my S4. Calls always go through though, even with no signal bars.

Same here, I'm with Vodacom and my reception is terrible on my
Note 3. It wasnt great on my S2 but much better than this.
 
Vodacom.jpg Not sure how legit this is... But maybe someone who wants it bad enough can take VC on to honour that price? ;):whistle:

I have exactly the same issue. I did switch off the auto network switch now, so I'll monitor. Did realize that this is only happening at home where the signal is a bit crappy. I will monitor in the next couple of days and report back if experience improved or not.

When that notification appears, just click on it and check the "don't show this again" option and click cancel.

I am also with Vodacom. This really is annoying. Data connection and cell phone reception just goes away randomly.

Can someone please post a screenshot with their APN settings for Vodacom. I have the LTE version. I just want to check if my settings are correct.
