It won't work! As there is no exposed framework on the current Android, but if you can get your hands on Kit kat which will have Exposed Framework as standard.

Or just flash with firmware that includes Exposed Firmware...

I'm been trying to find more information about this Exposed Firmware you mentioned. All I've seen so far is the Xposed Framework, which is a rooting thing. Not quite going to "jailbreak" yet as my phone is new and under warranty. Maybe after a year.

Just noticed that the update reset my Mobile networks setting. Disabled LTE again and should save me some battery life. :) (Settings >Connections >More networks> Mobile networks> Network mode>WCDMA/GSM)

Are we going to create a Samsung Note 3 tips and tricks thread or is this going to be 'it' as well?

After I did the update mine was set on LTE by default.

Finally got my Gear, not really impressed. Wrist band is definetly made for geeks , at the biggest setting it only just fits around my arm.

I have the N9005 LTE also, but when I go to that page I have no option for LTE. All I see is 1) WCDMA/GSM, 2) WCDMA only, 3) GSM only.

Does the LTE option only come up if you have a SIM installed that is provisioned for LTE ? I am just using a prepaid Cell C SIM inside my Note LTE. The reason I have a prepaid SIM inside is because I am scared off by Vodacom's out of bundle data price. At LTE speeds, my data bundle will expire in about 23.4 seconds, and then I would get shafted by Vodacom's OOB pricing.

Mine had:
LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)
WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)
WCDMA only
GSM only

Im with MTN tho.
I think it could be because you're phone's branded with Voda? Hence they have that 200MB update, which could fix this.

Yes mine is the Vodacom LTE, and yes I did the update yesterday, but no I still don't have the LTE option under "network mode".

Strange.
You can double check these:
1. Is your sim card 64bit or 128bit?
2. To activate manually, set your apn to: lte.vodacom.za

Okay I worked out what it was - it was my SIM card. I took my Cell C prepaid card out and put the Vodacom SIM inside, and now I have LTE as an option.

whats new with the update? any improvement with battery or reception?

Try wearing it around your wrist, instead of your bicep. :p
