Probably not the right thread but I heard op people complaining about their Note3 dropping wifi connection. I don't have that problem but I've noticed that my S4mini that I got yesterday do that.

Can you provide more info please. I am one of those with the wifi dropping issue which drives me insane, especially while watching utoobs.

I have a problem with my Note 3 N9005 with air gestures. I have enabled it all in settings, but I don't see an indication on my display that it is active. I then try to do a screen capture by waving my hand from left to right above the phone...nothing happens no matter how many times I try. The only instance where it seems to work is within Gallery, when viewing pictures - waving my hand above the screen flips through pictures.

I know it is trivial, and more of a gimmick, and I can still get a screen shot by holding the home and power button at the same time. Just curious who else have a Note 3 with air gestures not working ? It worked right after I bought my Note 3 in November, but something has happened since then to stop it from working.

I have watched a number of instructional youtube videos on the subject, and an icon is supposed to come on the top panel to show it is active, but it doesn't appear here. I have rebooted my phone a number of times, and switched the feature ON/OFF many times, to no avail.

I'm still on 4.3

You don't do screen captures by waving your hand around. You put the side of your hand on the left or right side of the screen and move it accross. You have to be touching it.

Air gesture works for answering calls (VERY ANNOYING) scrolling, or waving over the phone when it's lying on a table to see if you have missed calls or messages (very awesome).

The icon is a little hand in the notification bar, only shown when you have the scrolling option activated.

PMSL Yes I don't wave frantically at the screen when trying to do a screen capture :D I do a methodical, side of the hand, left to right sweep - I have seen plenty of youtube videos on how to do this....and like I said, it worked right after I bought the phone in November...so I know how to do it.

I don't get the "little hand icon" in the notification bar...and yes, all settings are activated

Just curious, because I did a google search and it seems there are lots of others that have reported their gestures not working anymore. Gallery works great for flipping through pictures....and the only other air gesture that DOES work, is the hovering of the hand when it is asleep, to give me the time. This is consistent with other users that have reported their air gestures not working - only their gallery picture flip, and time display feature works

It is trivial...and a gimmick, I think - it's not something I use...but was just curious if others had this issue - with the Vodacom N9005 LTE ?

I'm confused. The screen capture thing has NOTHING to do with Air Gesture. You have to be TOUCHING the screen. The S3 (and maybe earlier phones) had the same feature and they didn't even have the motion sensor. You say you know how it works, thus you must know that it has nothing to do with the motion sensor but is a function of the touch screen. It might be turned off under the "palm motion" settings.

The hand icon isn't always there. As per the instructions in the menu where you turn it on, it's only present in an app that supports it. Gallery hides the notification bar though so of course it's not visible there. Pretty much the only other app it works in is Email, and even then only when actually reading an email, not in the list of messages. That's where you should see the hand icon and arrows.

If the gesture still works in standby mode, it's obviously not a hardware problem. My guess would be another app interfering, or a setting problem. Or that it does work but you're expecting too much.

Let's hope it works with KitKat seeing that Samsung blocked all 3rd party accessories from working on the Note3.

Let us know how it works

So the wireless charger works great!
The coil fitted nicely under the cover, there is a slight bulge on the rear now but not too noticeable, and phone is still quite level lying on the back.
The charging pad needs a bit of a file to connect with coil but I'm used it already and get it first time now.
So all in all a great and cheap buy, let's hope it lasts

What do you mean by "bit of a file"?

Meant to say, bit of a fiddle. Have to get the best position for placement of phone on pad, but once I knew where the coil needs to be, is easy.
And works with the flip cover on. I don't use it but also got the kit for a mate with note3 and flip cover. Still fits phone and charges

Wireless is a great way to steal quick charge, I love mine.

I see there are a few 3 coil units available, not having to position it will save me the hassle. I should be picking up a second one for the office.
