Piesang, are you rooted with your Note 3 and have you got KitKat ???

I've just downloaded the first OTA (100MB) which is N9005XXUDMJ7 for the 9005 .. Decided to backup all my Apps first then will do the 400MB OTA update which is the KitKat upgrade (from MTN - at last).

Nope. Not rooted. Have the official UK Rom installed that I downloaded from Sammobile.

The original Rom is just over 2GB. That's why I prefer to download the Rom and flash the phone myself.

My MTN stock Note 3 offered the 100MB update and then the 400MB Kitkat one afterwards. Running Kitkat now but it uses 70MB more RAM?

I thought it was supposed to be lighter? These are both based off restarting the phone before and after the upgrade to check RAM usage.

Well, I have the long awaited KitKat (via OTA MTN) installed on my Note 3 (9005) but don't really see any significant differences to JB 4.3 ...

The KitKat version is N9005XXUENC2 ... It doesn't have the fix for writing to Ext SD card !!!!! .. I can use 'My Files' which is part of the ROM to write or create folders on the Ext SD card, but I can't use 'Astro' which I installed (3rd party App) to write or create folders etc ...

This is what makes me mad - the rest of the world is getting the latest correct updates, we get the crap first releases .. Now I must either wait another 100 years for an update to come through, or root my Note 3 and to hell with the Knox warranty bit and fix the Ext SD card writing bug - *Sigh ...

I see the Netherlands has just received a KitKat upgrade (N9005XXUEND3) - maybe I could install that version - I'm assuming it will have all the fixes ?? (ND3 is greater than NC2) ...

The XFM version of kit kat is available on sammobile. I downloaded it and flashed it this morning.

Well I have flashed the Netherlands N9005XXUEND3 version of KitKat onto my N9005 Note 3 LTE and it works fine - still can't see any major differences but guess some bugs have been fixed ...

Still can't use 3rd party Apps to write to the Ext SD card ...

Any one been able to root their devices without tripping the Knox warranty bit ??

By the way, Kies is quite happy with this flashed ND3 version of KitKat ....
