Try this: Infamous ROM 2.7Ghz OC with excellent battery life. Kills the S5 in Quadrant.

I was just about to post about how much I'm loving the battery life on this phone as I'm on 3hrs screen on with 67% juice left.

From what I have read if you go AOSP/AOKP normally one would lose a bit of battery life. But with apps like Greenify it can be minimized. If you go with a TouchWhiz Rom like X-Note or Omega I believe they have optimizations to improve battery life.

Greenify FTW.

I feel like it's doubled my phone's battery life when on standby. Lots of apps hibernating when I don't need them...

What are you taking it in for?

I took my GS4 in for a display replacement, I was running a newer 4.3 India ROM, and had tripped Knox warranty status, they didn't say a thing, they replaced my screen within hours and gave me my phone back looking new. :)

Just to find out why knox does this when I have official software

You can do it..... Trust me it is worth it. My note3 is listed under my household insurance as well. So I dont care about samsung and their warranties telling me what I can and can not do with something I bought.

As far as I am concerned, android is open source and we are allowed to do what we want with the os. If you have the knowledge to do so.

Do you guys have a guide to Root, Flash and load X-Note. Like for a Noob. This is way different from what I did my One X. So with X-Note I don't have to worry about baseband and stuff? Theres just one Rom for SM-N9005... Also my phone came with 4.4.2 out of the box.

And why the hell do they use Mega to download the X-Note Rom?

I basically followed the steps out lined here: http://galaxynote3root.com/galaxy-note-3-root/how-to-root-galaxy-note-3/ After I rooted my phone, made a full backup of all user apps with Titanium Backup and followed the instructions on x-note page on xda. Once all was back up and running, restored all user apps.

For mega, I installed the mobile app, added the file to my mega acc. And dow loaded it in under 5 minutes on lte/4g connection on my note.

Definitely is. Battery life is 10x better, check few pages back for screenshots from my experience. Performance and all the extra tweaks you can do, makes worth it.

I am running at 289dpi vs the 480dpi is the best part.
