Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I decided after lots of thinking that it's time to get a new ROM. I'm still running Stock Kitkat.

I root my phone last night. Now to decide which ROM to flash. Which would you say is the best.

Keeping in mind I still need to use S-Pen so CM is out.

I am hating the Note 3 now. After the last update pushed through the following occurs:
When trying to reply to a message in any app, they keyboard wont work, I have to tap away and try again
When I try to unlock the phone by tapping the power button, nada, sometimes it takes a while and other times, forever
After a call, the screen remains black so I cant end the call
If the screen is off and I receive a Viber call as an example, I cant answer cos it remains black
Accessing the Gallery takes a tad longer now as well

I want out!

Mine has been doing this as well. Stock ROM and Telkom Mobile. Sometimes I don't receive the message until a few hours later. I have to be in WhatsApp for the messages to come through. Background Data is not disabled

Same here over the last few weeks watsapp messages don't go thru unless I open watsapp

Go for x-note. Stock rom with great features added in as well. Been using it for a while now, loving it.

Ditto. V17 working 100%

I see we can use Google now even from the lock screen just by saying ok Google. Same as the Moto x

From my testing your Google Now language must be set to English (US) to access GNow from lockscreen and other places.

Hi guys.

I am currently using a S3. I am looking at either getting the S5 or Note 3. Do anyone have experience with both? Differences seem minimal.

You are asking this in the Note thread... But anyway...

Note has bigger screen and way better looks. I really love the faux leather feel on the black one. S-Pen is the real kicker.

I think if you like the heart rate sensor and water resistant feature go for it other than that the note in my opinion is better. More ram and bigger screen plus memory. Think the camera on the s5 is slightly better but not by much. I don't regret getting the note at all.

I am asking the same thing in the S5 thread.

The camera on the S5 for me is not a selling point. Don't use it much. My main uses will be calling, social media, internet, youtube videos, managing my meetings at work (not emails - use tablet for that).

Initially excluded the Note, but since it is cheaper (marginally) i thought it is worth a look.

For your use, I feel it may just be the better device :). Or an S4? Pricing is very competitive now
