The screen is awesome. How do you like the screen by the edges compared to the 4? I love the feel and it finishes a stunning phone off beautifully.
What do you mean edges? Bezel compared to the Note 3? I didn't spend enough time with it to notice bezels... Which is probably a good thing...

I'll have to check up on that. I didn't even know about that!

Yeh, there's no little lip like the previous samsung phones have. With previous phones the side comes up higher than the screen. With the Note 4, the screen is higher than the sides.

If that makes any sense. Maybe someone else with a Note 4 can explain it better.

Oh ok I think I know what you are talking about my HTC One X was like that and on my Note 3 I have a tempered glass screen protector so it also feels raised. Maybe that's why I didn't notice it.

Also played with the Note 4 today. I would say the screen alone is worth it. I thought my eyes were going to bleed. When the reviewers say does it really make a difference in everyday usage, with regards to pixels per inch... YES they do! The screen is absolutely stunning. Would have preferred brushed metal to the painted metal on the sides tho.
Yeah. I must say that screen has left an impression. I need to check it out in a store again. Do a side-by-side comparison. And hope the store isn't hit by a mall robbery at the same time...

I'm experiencing a weird issue. My phone keeps on reverting back to the default Samsung keyboard. I'll change it to SwiftKey, but when I see it's back to the Samsung keyboard.

This happens without me restarting the phone, I can't seem to find a solution for it online.

Will factory reset the phone as a last resort.

I've tried different custom roms. Went back to stock 4.4.2 and imo the battery lasts much longer on stock.

Try Omega. Just like stock but with Xposed you get the customisation with zero bloat and stability.

I used to use omega until it got to V20 or something and that's where the battery drain started. Tried other roms but no luck until I went back to stock and battery lasts probably double. Downloading omega again to give it another shot.

Apparently that was related to the kernel. Use it with Lean kernel. I used to get 7hrs screen on with it.

i need a new phone.
Is it worth upgrading to note 4 or is there not a huge difference between the note 3/4

That will determine if I upgrade to a note 4 or buy a note 3

Very little difference, and some downgrades. If you need a new phone anyways, go for the Note 4. If you still have a Note 3, keep it.

Also, Note 3's are going second hand for under R5000 while a 4 is R10k new.

I am currently on a Iphone 4 so I need something more up to date.
Was just wondering is the Note 4 worth the price tag, or would the Note 3 perform just as good.
I understand that the Noe 4 has a better screen and higher mp camera.

Go for the Note 4 if money is not the deciding factor.

It will be a fantastic introduction to Android + the Note 3's plastic build might put you off.
