But why. Trying something different?

I have always liked the os. Just never could get to grips with the tiny size. But now that is out of the way. Plus the battery life blows the note away. Currently sitting on 4 and a half hours on screen time with 75% left. So far i am enjoying the phone. Missing a few things from android, but overall i am happy.

Cool man. I suppose if you don't mind the OS constraints then you can appreciate the better consistency in IOS.

If you use SwiftKey the £ sign is here...

Yeah i dont mind the constraints. At the end of the day its just a phone. I want it to receive calls and send messages and check email and browse the web.

Did you bend it?

No luckily no bending... Yet. I sure do hope it wont. Got in a nice case.

Yeah I use the ipad as my "tv" in the bedroom with netflix and hulu, so i wont be selling that any time soon. But it is an awesome phone.

After being with the iPhone since it's inception (bought the first aluminium one which didn't make it to SA, while on holiday in the USA) and all other iterations of the iPhone up to the iPhone 4S.....there were two things that bugged me about them.
1. Size - way too small to do email/web/apps etc
2. iOS

I switched to the Note 3, and very, very happy I made the switch.

They have resolved the problem with the small size, but I still think iOS is just way too restrictive, and has a closed minded approach to the software. Very bland and boring. It also needs a back button.

One thing I do truly miss about the iPhone, is the integration with my Macs for syncing music, videos, pictures etc. But as a phone, I am firmly in the Note 3/4 Android camp.

I honestly can't remember how to update the phone N9005 using odin. Can someone send me to a How-To? I tried googling but my google search terms aren't working (more like my head is not working)

I downloaded the Sammobile update.

Having a problem with tamasek 12. Also had the same problem with cm11. If I make a call my screen switches off and I can't switch it back on unless I pull the battery. Any ideas?

You got Odin? You got the sammobile version you want? Well that's all you need.

1. start odin.
2. connect phone to laptop via usb.
3. start phone in download mode (put phone off, switch phone on holding up volume + power + home button iirc)
4. load rom via AP into Odin (i think so)
5. hit start
6. when phone restarts you can unplug from pc.

N9005? Temasek version 2.5? Trying going into call settings and switching all this off:

Thanks <bookmarked>

Thank goodness it seems my GPS is fixed now too, seems the Polish Update has a problematic modem driver.

I never thought my Note 3 would get Lollipop before my Note 4. OS is nice and smooth, not too keen of the new colour scheme though. So far I've found one feature of the Note 4 that's been incorporated into the Note 3. Will see what else I can find that's new.
