Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (previously Note 6)

Samsung Mobile South Africa confirmed that the phone would be available in the country from 1 September (the first markets get the phone on 19 August), but didn’t give any pricing details. It did however reveal that people who preorder the Note 7 will receive a “Starter Pack”, featuring two screen protectors, the new Gear VR headset, a “fast charging wireless stand” and phone case.

Yes I'm getting from Vodacom. According to Vodacom you will also get an Oculus Voucher and Gear VR. The accessory kit as far as I know also includes a clear case and screen protector, and off course wireless charging kit.
 
I'm now wondering how this is going to pan out. I've pre ordered from vodacom and told them I'm out of the country until after release date so they have to email me as I'm only on sms roamer.

Somehow I think they will try and call, not get an answer so just give up.

So has anyone relieved a call of any descriptions after pre ordering?

I have preordered the s6edge and s7edge....

i am still waiting for a phone call for both of them

I'm still waiting for my call, although the sms I got from them said a consultant will contact me to confirm my order and the email states one of their call-centre agents will contact me to confirm my order once pricing is announced.

Yes i got a call yesterday, just basically telling me that i am on the list of pre orders and the phone is only arriving from the 1st of September. I will then be contacted again with more information. So hopefully will get the call next week. I think the pre order freebies is swaying me, still quite happy with the Note 4.

Really hope the price won't be crazy, that might stop me from upgrading.

Just out of curiosity. Did you give a Vodacom number as a contact number because I'm still waiting for my call. I gave my MTN number as a contact number because I don't use my Vodacom sim.
 
Yes, on my Vodacom number. I also got an email when i registered.

On another note, someone i know placed a pre order with MTN, he phoned them and they told him next month and will add him to their list. Not sure if they have any promotions.
 
I see MTN have their pre-orders up unfortunately I cannot pre-order as my contract is only due for upgrade on the 20.9.2016 so I lose out on a chance for a gear fit :(

I completed the pre-order. No call, but did receive an email confirmation with a reference number.
