Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (previously Note 6)

Samsung said in a reply to my tweet. Pre orders 9 sep and available the 23 September

Its frustrating because samsung said that from the 5 July 5 million Units where going to be produced. One would have thought they would shared evenly world wide....
Business is business, they have shareholders to satisfy, and a focus on particular markets like China and USA is what they want. They have prioritised some markets like USA over us unfortunately.

Samsung knows we will wait and then pay the crazy prices they ask for when it does arrive.

Orange South Africa has the Note 7 listed at R12 700
Anybody seen a demo unit in an experience store as yet?

Wow thats cheaper than the s7 edge. Thanks to the lower exchange rate. Cellucity pre orders are open. Offering coral blue, oryx black and gold. Booked black. A little nervous of blue looks beautiful with gold side but reflection could be a issue for me

Pricing up on cacell.co.za @ R 17 995
If this is indicative of local launch pricing I won't be getting one.

Dubai already have them for sale. Only item extra is a 128gig memory card. Dual sim.

I bought it on that deal in Dubai just impatiently waiting for my dad to bring along when he returns from his trip. He did say its a really beautiful device.

Does anyone know what variant of Note 7 we are getting here?

Looks like the Snapdragon that the US gets does not perform all that great. Some overheating issues, poorer battery performance and lags compared to the Exynos that seems to be better in every aspect.

Funny, I signed into my Vodacom account and it says pre-oreders only start on 1st September.

edit: Scratch that, found it and pre-ordered :p

How do you preorder a device not knowing the price?

I just wonder why they only bring it out in the edge variant.

I like the "normal" shape more because I never use a full cover on my phones. Just a silicone cover on the back and a screen protector on the front.

Or do I miss the boat and you can do that with an edge type phone?

You click on the button that says 'pre-order' :)

Then when they announce pricing, they call you and you say, 'wow, that's good, I'll have one please' or indeed 'are you nuts, stick the phone up your arse'
