What did you pay in total then? And the only price I can find on that site is € 486.80. Am I looking in the wrong place?
Which site are you looking at? ThenI can find you the correct link. Total was little over 5k but well worth it and still cheaper than it will be in stores locally.

One of my staff members here in the US has just got himself the Captivate, which is the AT&T-specific version of the Galaxy S. It's awesome, apart from all the crapware that AT&T loads onto the phone!
It's pretty well-priced here too - to get it off-contract costs $499, which is about R3800 at today's rates.

That's nothing compared to what we pay. You just have to root the capivate and put the normal galaxy rom on there , then its a decent phone as well
You don't even have to flash it, in fact. Titanium Backup will remove the stupidware for you in a few easy steps.
I'm due for my upgrade on August 11th, and I'll be getting the Captivate ($199). I've ordered an (ahem) iPhone 4 for my wife, so nobody can accuse me of being an Android fanboi!

My phone order from handtec.co.uk is in transit via UPS as of today. I suppose Tuesday or Wednesday next week is the most likely time of arrival? Damn this is going to be a long week!

I have heard mid October by all carriers. Remains to be seen. This phone is certainly the phone to get considered as the best phone on the market.Was a matter of time before Samsung came to the party.

Just spent the whole evening yesterday cleaning up my contacts and linking their Gmail and facebook profiles.
Now my contacts look all shiny

Rooted yesterday also and added the Market Enabler. I can only search for paid apps though, can't browse them. Bought Switch Pro ($1.00) which is an awesome app.

Reception is excellent, even on virgin mobile!!! The battery life sucks a little bit, well so far at least. Lasts hardly a day but that's almost constant use (including wifi, gps and full brightness). Also, the phone will need about 5 full recharges before the battery reaches its full capacity. I will report back when I have used it for a bit longer but I really do think that under normal use and after a few recharges the battery will last 1-2 full days.
