Samsung Galaxy S10

Same for me, glad the s10 is getting the upgrade. It feels that the S10 is the last of specific specs I liked.

Just got the update on Voda.
But will be replacing the S10 soon.
Battery is weak.

Anybody have an idea what the cost is to have a S10 battery replaced?

I no longer use the S10. Battery is just too bad. Needs charging at least 2 times a day.

Removed it from the charger at 100% then downloaded the update which was quick on my fibre line. It installed and after the whole process left me with 72% battery just for installing the update. Updated apps on google play and finally settled at around 62% I think it will be too expensive to do a battery change for the S10 especially fi you want a genuine battery and samsung approved or at samsung itself you probably looking at around 2k?

I'm only using my X3 GT now.

Thanks, was planning to replace the battery and hand it down. Will rather take the R10k trade in and buy a newer phone cash for my son. I'm getting the S22 Ultra.

R2k is not too bad. There's nothing wrong with the phone, and it beats R20k on a new one...

True the phone itself is still good. That is one thing about flagship phones. They can keep up with new mid rangers even 2+ years later.

I just think that a new battery won't help much. It's on 3400.

With the new os and features plus MTN that now has more LTE carriers combinations on the higher frequencies the battery won't be able to keep up. It was just the wrong size battery for this phone from the very start.

Crossposting myself here... More info on the trade-in deal has come up. I posted in the S22 thread:

One of the guys in the Whatsapp deals group shared this link:

https://trade-in.regener8group.co.za/guaranteed-value-10k/#tradein

It seems regener8group are the people who facilitate the trade-in deals for Samsung SA.

If you go to the samsung.co.za trade-in page and click on the current S21 FE trade-in offer, it redirects to a regener8group page.

So seems like the R10k trade-in might still happen after all.

I'm still apprehensive... The process requires you to buy the S22 upfront and then log an application for the R10k after you have the new device.

Anyone do a "trade-in" with Samsung before?

Yeah, I was told to ignore the calculator.

I can't say for sure, but the calculator seems to be the generic "not on special" option for a trade-in.
On the S21FE trade in the calculator works correctly?
