Geez it's going to feel like stepping into the future for you. I went from the same phone to the galaxy s and it was WOW now I get why nokia is screwed.

I haven't ordered overseas items in a while, except from Take2

What I would suggest is phoning SARS, getting a case number and asking them "How much will I pay for X item I am buying from Y" and they will give you the information, and can point to the article/page numbers in the documentation for that sort of thing.

Then at least you have some ammunition when disputing import duties and such.

Just out of interest.. for those that bought their Hybrid cases, what were your total costs?

I see them on Take2.co.za's USA section and I'm inclined to just order from them, as it's less overall hassle I suspect. I haven't worked out the cost differences though.
 
I ordered one of those gel cases from Amazon a few weeks ago. I got the case last week, and while it's awesome, it just makes the phone look and feel bulkier, which takes away the uniqueness of the phone. Hence, I have removed it.

Costed 3 pounds to buy and another 3/4 to deliver. Took 11 days to get here. No other fees involved.
 
Nice, so Amazon ship to SA now? I thought for a while they quit doing that, nice.

Yeah. It was in the letterbox :p Bit risky they did it that way though, as anyone could have walked past and stolen it. There are so many cases out there. This one includes a screen protector and a small cloth as well but don't expect the screen protector to be awesome. It's budget. I haven't really checked it out yet though.

Got the same one, took 2 weeks to arrive. I like it, especially the grip on the sides, make the phone easier to hold and wont slip.

I bought 1 of the 'Ultra Capsule' cases today, total cost $29.88, which roughly gets to R210. Still waiting for the actual charge to reflect on my account.

ok, so I thought tonite would be a good night to try out _A_ rom... decided on Lite'ning 4.2
Flashed and all went well, actually loving the theme ...

BUT...

I have no data connections now, either by WiFi or 3G/HSDPA/GPRS......
Please help, lol
The Lite'ning 4.2 thread on xda is like 911 pages long, and searching is like a no go...

I've cleared the cache partition & dalvik. Whatever they are... but still no joy on data connections...

Anyone had this kinda problem before & know how to solve it?

BTW, my absence on the forum is largely do to the fact that IM LOVING THE SGS2 :)
