Samsung Galaxy S2

Can anyone suggest a good window/dash mount to use with a SGS2, preferably with the Neo Hybrid case on.
Maybe a universal one that my wife could use her Bold in as well.

I bought the original one. I guess I will just have to take it out of the case when I want to use it. It has an integrated car charger which I find awesome. When you slide the charger in, it goes into driving mode and you can use voice commands to phone, send SMSs, navigate to a destination or even update your facebook status. My Capetonian accent makes it a bit hard for me to use though. LOL

SYSTEM VOLUME

Hi guys, my system volume seems to be auto-adjusting itself to Maximum volume. (Menu/Settings/Sound/Volume) the system volume just auto adjust itself every now and again.

I only want an original car charger. How much and where?

I also want one :) Post the links. Post the links :)

I am also looking for the windscreen mount for the GS2. Not some generic either. Must be designed specifically for the GS2. Any ideas?

My car charger that I bought from dealextreme works perfectly.

The GPS with maps is a breeze, who needs a dedicated GPS unit? It took me to my destination effortlessly and even showed a photo of the place I was looking for once I got there. Is there anyway to change the voice guidance from Mrs Steven Hawkings?

Hi All

I am struggling to connect with wifi to a hidden ssid. I manually enter the settings and then it just states out of range. I can connect with my laptop and iphone, just not the S2. It's using WPA

Any ideas?

How long did you wait for dealextream? I ordered some stuff over a week ago and its still not shipped.

It took about two weeks. I am waiting for another order that is taking a bit longer.

Well I ordered some stuff from deal extreme last weekend, so we'll see how long things take.. SGP was pretty fast, but then again, they cost alot lol.

I have exactly the same problem with Lite'ning ROM 4.1
After a bit of investigation, I have found that Google Navigation is one of the culprit apps that sets the volume to max after you exit the app. At first I though that the 'Navigation' and 'System' volume controls were linked, but I tested by setting System volume to low, then enter Navigation. I then set the Navigation volume down low and then exit. I thought that the System would still be low, but it was set at max again.
Can you test this yourself with Navigation to see if it a problem app, or is it isolated to my phone?

I'm going on a month. After this week I'm going to have them resend it.

I put my Martin Fields screen protector on today. All I know is that it is amazing! By far the best I have seen. Nearly completely anti-fingerprint and you can't see that there is a screen protector on at all.

Funny enough is that FNB Connect adjusts the brightness of the display. I'm not sure if this happens with the stock rom as well, but I have experienced it on Villain Rom.

Is it worth the money then?
Did you get it from Expansys?

You are right. It is Google Navigation. This is very unfortunate.

I have picked up another problem with Google Nav.
For Text-to-Speech, I prefer the default Samsung TTS. The voice synthesis sounds 100x better when compared to PICO TTS. The problem I am having though, it that during navigation, I have a robotic voice that reads out a string (about 3) of URL's that seem to be voice synthesis related. It is really irritating, and often stuffs up the navigation during crutial times.
The PICO TTS sounds crappy, but I don't get the URL interuptions during navigation, and a benefit is that PICO TTS will read out street names in Google Nav, whereas Samsung TTS doesn't. Hoping some other peeps can test this for me.

PS: There are two text-to-speech engines in the SGSII – Samsung TTS and Pico TTS. The Samsung TTS has a much more pleasant, less robotic, voice, but if you enable it you will lose the reading of street names in Google Navigation!
