Is the UK/Ireland firmware stable? Any problems experienced with it?

Had a bootloop when battery first hit about 30%, but since I've been on philz kernel phone is amazing.

Feels more polished than the Spanish ROM to me.

Mmmmm.... a new install always feel smooth & quick.

Give it two months when you have loads of apps, sync accounts and live widgets installed. :)

Haha yes I have to agree. My slimrom is starting to feel sluggish and I sometimes have lag when opening menus etc. And I thought "maybe I should try a new/different rom" :)

At first it was lightning fast and smooth but after a few months things have slowed down a bit. Maybe I just want an excuse to get a new phone.....

Go on, treat yourself! :)

The new S4 Active looks interesting.

I must admit it is very tempting! I almost went for it but am actually still very happy with my S2. It does everything I want it to.

+1

I really don't like the cheap plastic look of the regular S4. And the doofus who decided that it needed a checkered design, should be fired asap. The S3 looks far more classier than the S4.

The S2 still oozes that premium look & feel when you hold it in your hand & I never get tired of it. :)

Hey kingrob. I must say that you are probably the best ambassador I have ever seen for the Galaxy S2. Apart from your first couple of posts where you questioned the phone prior to or at release time, you have been praising this phone against all odds! Yes it is not difficult to find reasons to praise this phone since it is probably the best smartphone that came out if you look at it's popularity and how long it lasted already and being the only phone which received 3 different versions of Android. I hope Samsung sees this and gives you a S4 or later the S5 so you can do the same :D

hehe.....it's just the most beautiful and impressive phone I've had the pleasure of owning to date. :)

We were very fortunate that Samsung decided to give the S2 a JellyBean flavour, as I think it's the ROM that should have been on the S2 from day one. And if Samsung decides to give the S2 a helping of Android 4.2.2, I would be ecstatic.

Got myself the car dock and car charger a while ago, and have so much fun plotting routes on Google Navigation, then driving completely different routes....oh, and I'm learning lots of street names. :)

Google Chrome works really well on the S2 now and I've finally replaced my stock browser with it. It actually runs faster than the stock browser now!

**My only gripe is that Samsung didn't release the S2 with the 2000 mAh battery and new back cover, cos it really makes it a fantastic phone.

Enjoy your S2. ;)

The best sales rep they NEVER had. Lol

I have a sneaking suspicion that South African unbranded 4.1.2 firmwares will be very close to the UK/IRL LSS firmware.

Doesn't it still look gorgeous? :)

Downloaded the official UK firmware last night & installed it on my S2.

Have not detected anything that's different or faster, but here is the software information :

UK & Ireland official Samsung JellyBean 4.1.2 firmware :
