Samsung Galaxy S23

I have a S22+ the battery doesn't last me till 6pm (X, YouTube, browser, camera). The S24 trade in looks like a sweet deal, will that be a downgrade?
Just note that Game is not listed as a trade-in partner so not sure if the R10,000 trade-in will apply. Better to go with Samsung if you can still get the pre-order deal or Incredible Connection or Cellucity.

So since about the release of the S24, I am noticing that my S23 Ultra, doesn't last the whole day any more, need to do a top up charge for a few minutes to make it to bed time. Anyone else?

Is there some Apple phuckary happening here?

Downloading OneUI 6.1 as we speak. Whoop whoop

It's 3067MB and shoudl have the AI update

Mine seems to be ok
Lasts the day comfortably

Was at +/- 80% yesterday at around 3pm
Still had 30% at about 10 this morning.
Moderate usage

Still okay on my side :)

Same on my S23. But also worth mentioning, I do use the phone daily, a lot.
Not even a full year old yet.

Mine just finished installing too, time to play around :)

Hi all. i got an S23 new as they quite affordable now. upgraded from my S20 FE, which after 3.5 heavy years of use the battery is on the way out. So far very happy with the smaller form factor, how snappy and effecient it is.

Any way. i got a bodyglove cover. but keen to hear how many people put a screen cover on. i had the glass one on my old samsung. if not glass, what else, if anything. i imagine the glass on here is quite resistant as is.

They glass is supposedly improved with every gorilla glass iteration.
I still wouldn't chance it, either glass or peel plastic, have a look and see what's your preference.

Get a screen protector, micro scratches are a pain

I've had my s23 for about a year now. Haven't put a screen protector on at all and no issues so far

You're lucky, I had my S23 Ultra a week and micro scratches appeared, just by putting in a pocket. I don't carry keys or anything sharp and it just somehow still got them.
My sons A34 has a nice scratch in the one corner from something and he also doesn't really put it in places with sharp objects, though I'm sure he got that one at scouts when he snuck his phone there.
So yeah rather get a screen protector, not a glass tempered one, those do not work, but a gel one, preferably the Samsung one (though it's a biatch to put on).

I bought my S23 FE back in November, and since then have had zero software updates. Surely this isn't normal?

Looks like others have started highlighting the issue, but seems to be zero response from Samsung

i got the gel screen protector from cellucity (they cut it and fit it). protects the screen perfectly.
