Samsung Galaxy S23

Game stores have an upcoming 30 year birthday bash with a bunch of specials running from the 23rd of April to the 6th of May.

The Galaxy S23 is on special for R12 999 cash or R799pm x 36 for 2 x S23 phones and a silly Vodacom Red contract.

So if you buy cash you don't get the second phone??
But damn that's what I paid for the s23fe

Argh how can the Ultra screen scratch so easily, my screen protector fell off and I was too lazy to replace it for a week, what happened multiple little scratches :-( like wtf so it seems the "harder" the screens become the more scratchable they are.

thats apparently the compromise

harder to shatter = easier to scratch and vice versa.

Yeah, though part of me is like I think I would prefer a mid point, my P30 pro was protector less and it never had issues, looks like Temu will be getting an order for at least 8 screen protectors :) just in case.

Maybe too soon to say but this June update seems to have improved my S23+ battery life greatly. The last few weeks a full battery would not even last me the whole day, I would charge in the morning and by evening I could be below 20%.

23 hours after the update (and full charge) my battery is at 47%, granted I did not fiddle as much on my phone today.

I keep getting "checking for new messages" notifications from WhatsApp and can't figure out to disable them. Anybody else have the same issue?

99% of the time it comes up when my Internet connection is poor. I assume that WhatsApp is just struggling to retrieve any data at that time.

It happens all the flipping time - from WiFi connection at home and work, as well as when on LTE/5G.

Those with a S23 Ultra, does your camera module sound like it's lose within the phone?

I've googled and it's common.

Mine doesn't do it, I had my old Nokia 8 that did and the lens had an issue
Interesting. Mine's never been dropped. My brother's probably has because he has a 4yo who sometimes handles the phone.

I'm shaking mine now at my waist in a quiet room and can hear the camera rattle.
