Samsung Galaxy S23

I'm on One UI 6.1 in UK now. A few "AI" things but not much to get excited about.

Ok her S23FE is still on One UI 6

6 makes sense, and gives me some comfort as 6.1 just started rolling out recently

but the other users were talking about no updates since purchase in november last year... so that means still OneUI5 and android 13

I know 6 started rolling out in December last year

Ah makes sense, yeah it's 6

so from lots of time in googlethu, it seems that samsung updates in general are a lucky packet.

S22/ultra 23 FE all seem to be updating at random. Some users are getting monthly patches, some havent gotten anything since september

disappointing from samsung but i suspect carriers also have a role played here somewhere

Samsung acknowledges Galaxy S23 touchscreen issue on One UI 6.1, says it's Google's fault

Ah, was just about to say I haven't experienced this but then I have Google Discover feed disabled.

Looks like others have started highlighting the issue, but seems to be zero response from Samsung

New FE owner here. Picked mine and the wifes up on saturday and got the 6.1 update on 1st check.

Carrier is Telkom

From what I recall, both of those are just launchers for Good Lock.

Can you not download Good Lock from Galaxy Store?
its not available in our region... never was

there is a trick to get it by removing your sim and using a VPN to access the US galaxy store.

I have used nice lock a long time ago when i got my A50, but it kinda got stale back then. Now i see its alot more interesting

more importantly this new thing called fine lock...

Hi everyone
Currently looking at this deal on Takealot

Been shopping for a new phone for a while (looked at the A35, A55, S23 FE and now the S23 it seems)
A35, A55 are just a little too big, and I don't wanna lug a brick in my pocket all the time hence looking into the FE and S23

Is this actually a good deal in terms of the price? Or is Takealot just pulling my chain

Thanks in advance

FYI I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy A03s (a budget phone that stutters so much it's insane:crying:)

Seems to be roughly the price it was at launch to be honest, the A55 for this
https://www.takealot.com/samsung-galaxy-a55-5g-256gb-dual-sim-awesome-navy/PLID95234247 is good value for money to be honest, yes it may not be flagship but apparently it's near on
