Hey folks..
I'm a previous S2 user.. Loved being able to backup my current state, install a rom and then go back if I preferred my previous.
However in this wonderful land of the SGS3, I am a bit lost. People discussing bootloaders, bootchains, the SDS etc.
So last night when I got it, I immeadiately rooted with "CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4" and created a backup of my OS before any changes. Then I did the OTA update (4.1.1 I think), and things went a bit balls up. I feel as though the root had been neutered? CWM stopped working, recovery mode had only a fraction of the features etc.
So I kept stuffing around, tried CF-Auto-Root. Ended up having some progress with Philz_touch_4.0 CWM. But once I am in recovery, it asks me if I want to do some irreversible thing..
Can anyone shed some light on things for me?
