White phones always make me think of Apple products. I might have to bite the bullet this time though :p

Lol, the big button at the bottom will make you think it's Apple too, think that's part of Samsung's strategy.

I love the look of these phones in white. I have a white S2 and will hopefully be a white S3 richer later this week...

Are there any here who think the S2 might still be better value for money than the S3? Feature-wise there doesn't seem to be a significant difference, so it seems to be all down to specs and screen size.

I asked the same question to people that have the SIII and the only answer is the browser speed is faster, other than that, not much

My eastgate stores have been selling them for a few days now and my 4U store in Sandton City also got a few this week already. More is being delivered to Vodacom Shop Eastgate on Friday.

AFAIK. Could be affecting other countries too.

Correct. The pebble blue has got a colour conflict in the front and back plating. It is world wide. We expecting to get it in pebble blue next month when the issue at the factory has been resolved.

Got my S3 this afternoon after work, unfortunately I can't use the phone properly until I get my micro sim which will only be sometime next week. :( (local SP will only get stock next week) Tried to cut mine but made a mess of it, oh well...

Got mine yesterday.
Rooted it a short while ago.
Very happy this far.

Might give my initial thoughts tomorrow if time permits.

If you have an S2 already, I'd definitely say it's not worth the rather high price to upgrade. But if you still have something older like most of us, the 3 is significantly better. It does have the one great feature, the eye tracking. Not talked about a lot but I really think that's the first useful feature (ie not a gimmick) in a long while, especially for browsing or reading. The screen although not perfect is really also a big step up. The S2 had a very low resolution for its size. Lower than many phones released a year earlier iirc.

Just claimed my extra 48Gb Dropbox space, time to load up and share. Btw are the any other Android phones that can record straight from the FM radio? The S3 is the first one I came across.

Also, for those who also want to change their lock screen shortcuts but aren't sure how.

Go Menu > Settings > Security > Lock Screen Options > Tap the Shortcuts menu (don't use the slider) then choose the app you want to change.

How are you guys finding the motion controls? I'm yet to successfully make a call by putting the phone to my ear.

I might be wrong, but isnt that gesture meant to make a call (when viewing a message or when a contact is selected) - not answer it?
