Dual booting success. Omega v31 +ParanoidAndroid


Not very useful, unless I install a very low power rom for when I'm away from a plug point.

I also did the dual boot thing, dark paranoid android plus fox bound. Fox bound in use when I want to use mirror link and drive link (which only work on Sammy based roms)

I have no idea what you're talking about. Fox bound? I googled it and got a lot of bondage sites.:wtf:
 
Guys, just an update on my charging issue.

I use a USB extension cable when I charge sometimes and it turns out that this is the cause of my weak charging.

Even though my phone says it is charging on AC and I've got a 2A socket charger connected I only get about usb level charging.

In the same setup minus the extension cable I managed to watch video and have the battery charge increase in the background.

Maybe this helps someone out there :)
 
Does rooting or flashing official firmware stop your device from receiving updates?

That is all I have done on my S3 and now when checking for updates it says your device has been modified. Software updates are not available

I thought it would only stop working if one had to flash custom roms

Am I corrrect?

The s3 seems very sensitive to cable quality. Mtp especially

Official firmware is what exactly? Cox it's not leaked firmware. You'll need to go back to firmware you for through kies or the original firmware that shipped with the phone.

Upgraded to the polish version of JB a few weeks ago.
How do I go about using google now??
Can I use it to make reminders in my calender like Siri?

How is it odd? The S3 is huge for a phone, and the Note 2 is considerably bigger. I already get people going wide eyed when they see/use my phone. It's a practical size and very pocketable though, so it's something people get jelly over pretty quickly. A mini tablet crosses the line. In fact I can recall deriding a guy with a Note a row in front of me and my friends in a lecture - the thing looked seriously stupid. And the Note 2 is bigger.

I find it odd when people are concerned with how they look with a device.
For me, how it makes me look does not even factor into the decision making. So Ye, I find it odd.
