Samsung Galaxy S3

Does any of you tried to log on to alwayson? Mweb or mug and bean access etc. I could log in but since the jb upvrade haven't been able to get any sort of access.
 
So I flashed to the latest UK 4.1.2 Official ROM from the 4.1.2 Middle East (Leaked) ROM and noticed a remarked improvement in battery life.

I got almost 2 days on moderate usage - but then I realised that a lot of services were disabled. Google Now was disabled, WiFi disabled, certain applications from syncing. I re-enabled these again, and got an average of 14 - 18 hrs again.

I've noticed a lot of the people bragging about "superior" battery life hardly have the screen on, which means they hardly use the device - or the disable every single service offered, which means they might as well should be using a BlackBerry.
 
Has anyone tried Cyanomod 10.1 for the S3 yet? I installed it on my Tablet 10.1 last night and it look promising. Not sure if I'm ready to load it one my S3.
 
I have Cyanogenmod 10.1 on my S3. It works well. I have improved battery life and performance. The Samsung bloatware is gone but I am sure a few features no longer work. For example the FM radio isnt there anymore as a result of the Exynos SOC drivers not being present. Camera seems to work fine. I am just glad the horrible drippy noises etc are all gone. I don't use the FM radio anyway. I use TuneIn FM instead.

I agree, in my opinion, screen on time is a more reliable indicator of battery life. With that massive hi-res screen, it's easily the biggest battery drainer.

Dual boot. Haven't tried cm though. Might not be supported on Siyah yet.

So sad to hear that!

Real pity, as the S2 extended battery's new cover still make the phone look slim and feels fantastic to hold in your hand.
