My battery is doing just fine. Getting two days at least with light use, 1.5 days with moderate use and 1 day with heavy use. Very good for a device with a screen and internals like that.

Also running CM10.1 and finding it very smooth and lite. Love the small little touches like the ability to have 15 "permanent" apps pinned at the bottom instead of the usual 5

I'll definitely echo this. Although I can eke out 2 days with moderate use. I'm quite happy with the performance of my battery life.

Take yesterday as an example. I am on holiday, so not as many calls as usual. A little email, google maps/navigation for some directions, 10 min if browsing max. I took it off charge at 7am it died on me just before dinner 7:30pm or so. Not good in my book.

What is the signal like? If there is intermittent 3G I tend to find that phones keep searching for it which seems to eat the battery.

I resorted to installing Go Power Master and enabling data to be switched off when the screen was off. This drastically improved the battery-life but can be a pain. I eventually flashed a new ROM and I now get around 2 days battery life so am happy about that...

And which rom is it that you flashed? So others know.

That really doesn't sound normal at all and I think there is a high likelyhood of either a hardware problem or a few rogue apps causing the drain
 
Flashed CM10.1 yesterday - only issue I've experienced so far is audio not working in calls - a workaround for this is to play any audio ( song, ring or message tone) directly after booting the phone and then call audio works fine.

I've flashed this 2 weeks back - my battery life almost doubled, but then upon investigation all services were disabled (Google Now, certain Sync, WiFi, etc..). I re-enabled these and battery life went back to normal.

How did you do that? My understanding is that the official 4.1.2 UK Unbranded was only released yesterday.

I have had the Polish 4.1.2 for a few weeks but the UK one is new.

I mean "official" as in the ones released and made available by my service provider. I'm not keen on upgrading/updating by any other means ;)
